I have pictures that show the B36 intact after landing..pointing up the mountain…at the time 20 ft snow on mountain. Discovered by RAF looking for a lost Alaskan millionaire. When aircraft was identified…it took 2 years…2 different attempts by USAF team to reach site. Upon arrival they removed items then blew it up..i was there..seen it..done it. Even found a explosive cannister..parachute attached…unoppened …dropped by air.

Still items classified to this day……RAF never went to site…strictly USAF as items were all top secret. Here is a quizz for the armchair..never leave house guys….when and who recovered the…BIRDCAGE…second quizz….what the hell is the…BIRDCAGE….

The amount of feed back that has been generated by my….what i thought was a ..SIMPLE….posting has caught me completely off guard. Reminds me of the Salem witch hunts so common on the social platforms like ..Twitter…Facebook. ….these sites are so dangerous as they attract and draw in every lunatic in the world…to 1 common point…now thats …POWER. Forums also draw in a large group with different views.
I guess you could consider the B36 crash site i was at as…High Ground Site….20 min flight in Bell 206 helicopter landing at 3700 ft level of a mountain.
From what i understand of the aircraft wreck sites in the UK…most if not …all…were high speed impacts…items very mangled and broken up. I will try to set the stage for you people on what i seen after exiting the helicopter….pristine mountain top…could see 50 miles in every direction….turning to the view the rear ..aft of the B36…upside down. You start walking…..complete gun turret…another 1 there…ammunition belts with live rounds everywhere. You step around intact Survival gear…moving forward are headphones on the ground outside…crawl into the tail…2 complete flying helmets…1 i have and is shown in picture.. Did i know about the BC Heritage Act……NO…..would it had any impact on recovering these items…..NO….NO…not an issue.
After the recovery….i dealt with the BC goverment…hence the formation of the Broken Arrow Society to hold and display these items. This recovery launched me to become and join a very small group of researchers and experts on all the history of this historic crash. Hence that led to being a consultant for the book….LOST NUKE….and advisor for the History Channel movie with the same title of the book.
To sum up…people in the UK will repond to what crash sites are there and the condition they are in. In Canada we do the same…most crash sites are controlled crashes which leaves them in good condition. For your info…take a look at B36 crash site pictures near Gander….Labrador…then you can see the difference between the UK and Canada

These particular items were recovered from the B36 crash site in northern BC…Canada…picked over..but still items left. The other B36 is in Labrador…Canada…again picked over..but still alot of items there.

This particular B36 crashed in 1950…it was very significant……first USAF first …Broken Arrow incident..lost Nuke…and on Canadian soil. Most aspects of this crash still classified to this day…check on Google…interesting story.
