Cool shots, how did you get to that spot? Can you walk there, or would you have to rent a car?

Peter that spot is walkable from the old mound accross from rw 28

take you about half hour tops from the mound

Very nice shots Neil i like the inflight ones withthe contrast in the sky colours

I like the shot of the Learjet in the new Skyservice livery. 🙂

I wonder whether they’re going to apply that livery to the airliners, too?

If I can venture a spot of constructive criticism, I think the bright white fuselages on one or two of the “close-in” shots may have tricked your camera into a slight over-exposure. The rear view of the Challenger is the most obvious example.

Which metering mode were you using?

Thanks Lance i see what you mean on the challenger what metering mode do you use for aviation photography

i dont know what one im using another lesson il need to look into i think

Some nice prop blur there, Peter! Just need to be careful to keep your shutter speeds quick enough so the fuselage is sharp. The heli shot looks as though it’s suffered quite a lot from motion blur. 🙂

    Paul

Thanks Paul for the advice this is the first time i have actally achieved this result on the props

Thanks again chaps for the comments

hey, super shots! good job catching (what i perceive to be) G-BNLF! she took me to Hong Kong a while back. you got lucky with the weather too! the virgin looks super crisp……im intigued to know where those first few shots are taken.

    Sam

Hi Sam they are taken from the 27r threshold and the shots are the best of the days selection most got damaged by heat haze i was there as well

Nice shots there Jamie liking the head on ones and the Air India 747

What a great day we had

I hope you don’t mind, but I had a quick play with the levels on the colour channels on the Air Jamaica shot, increased the contrast a little and boosted the colour saturation.

I think that some of these pictures might respond well to a spot of tasteful post-processing.

Thanks Lance the extra editing certainly makes a change to the colours of my image
