Well, what can I say? Superb weather, fantastic aircraft and good company. Not having been to LHR since 1989/90 I was very pleasantly surprised at the variety we saw, and the new (to me) locations of Hatton Cross and Myrtle Avenue. The drive through Heathrow took us past the famous ‘crossing’, parked alongside which was a South African 744. Impressive or what? No, it was awesome. Dan and his mate should have some cracking images to show. I’ll put just one on here for starters.

Firstly I would read the meter again myself and see what that shows. I’d take copies of all previous bills so that you have ‘evidence’ that something is amiss.

The gas meter was read by the gas supplier on the 18th of June and then someone came round to read it again about a week later which I thought strange. It looks like the gas supplier knew something was incorrect NEARLY 2 MONTHS AGO but never told me about the risk to my family.”

I doubt if there is a leak. The easiest way to find out is to call Transco and explain the situation to them and ask them to check for a leak. My understanding is that they do this for all gas suppliers. Check the date on the bill and then find out from your suppliers why it took two months to produce a bill (it takes my supplier 2 to 3 days.)

Yes, I would imagine liability lay with you unless you can show that whatever has gone wrong is the fault of the supplier. The dramatic apparent rise in consumptionshould have rung alarm bells with them I would have thought. I’d take all the bills etc., and go see Citizen’s Advice, they may be able to help you out with this.

These die-cast and ready made plastic models are all very nice, but, does anyone still build? I’ve just started work on a Virgin Boeing 747-200, the scale being 1/125. It’s going to be pretty big. I’ll post photos of it when complete. There’s probably another 6 to 8 hours solid just filling and sanding before I get to thinking about spraying.

Duo has been created as the result of a management buyout at Maersk. They will be operating on the routes previously operated but they are going it laone. They will no longer be a BA franchisee.

I don’t think you are. I think Key may have been surprised at the way in which the fora have grown and the depth of knowledge which is displayed. Sometimes I think the discussions on all the boards spread well outside the remit of the publications without going totally off topic. As some of the discussions can get very heated it may be a smart move to disassociate the names of the mgazines from those of the forums thereby allowing us to express ourselves freely without bringing the publications into disrepute.

As to what I’d like to see in Airliner World I’d agree with Vic about reports on Regional airports. Perhaps also a spotters/photographers guide to British airports.
