Have you looked on the Airsho website?

There’s a full list of performers, and a timed schedule for each day’s airshow.

The Volunteers do a marvelous job, but I would guess operational commitments and the likelihood of them being posted away means it is better to contract big work out?

    ?????????

BBMF engineers are not volunteers, they are posted to the unit on a full-time basis.

The major servicing of BBMF aircraft used to be carried out at St Athan, but has been contracted out to civilian organisations for quite a few years now. St Athan has now closed, and the RAF contract out most, if not all, major servicing on all their aircraft nowadays.

Mike J & MK959, thanks very much for taking the trouble to post. As Avspecs were able to reverse engineer the RAF4A engine for the RE8, it’ll be interesting to see if the Ha-40s can be reproduced.

Isn’t it Vintage Aviator who do the reverse engineering of the WWI engines?

The wings of Kermit Weeks’ example were still stored, unrestored, at Fantasy of Flight as of my visit there last week

At least we will see DC-6 G-APSA fly again here in UK and in Eagle Airways colours. Would be great to see the Starliner and DC-6 together some day.

I’m not sure whether this a serious proposal to get it back in the air, or whether Air Atlantique (or whatever they are calling themselves this week) are just flying a kite to see if someone will come up for the funding for the work required.

    Time will tell.

Chino I think. There are some non-flying replicas in the racing hangar at Planes of Fame.
