I think the details should be sent to Hawker Restorations with the instruction – Please build this!
Please, no. It looks absolutely hideous.
Must be a highly secret event, as neither your post nor the link you have posted tell us where it is going to be held!
Some nice shots there David, thanks for keeping us all updated. Thanks also for the company last Monday week, it was an enjoyable day! 🙂
Fascinating stuff! The contribution that Ed Maloney has made to aircraft preservation cannot be over-estimated. Plus he’s a really nice guy too.
The Bearcat shown in the film is now with TFC at Duxford.
You need to talk to Doris! 😉
Do you mean their Hawk 75 or their P-36?
Two distinct and separate airframes.
Verty sad – but already covered here: http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=117272
And here too……..
Now that’s really nice VoyTech. Great to see them celebrating the unit’s heritage in this way.
Are there any public events in Poland this year? I understand that the Goraszka Air Picnic is no more. I’ll be making a visit to Poland later in the summer and would like to tie it it with an aviation event if possible.
French aircraft survivors from WW2 are rare.
So are German, Italian and Japanese survivors.
That’s what tends to happen when you’re on the losing side.
I believe they are the wings from the HAC Criquet, which is being re-engined with an Argus to bring it to Storch configuration.
Well, to look on the bright side, it looks as though the silica gel served its purpose admirably. I’m sure all that smoke and flame that the two engines spewed out as they self-destructed ensured that all moisure was thoroughly dispelled.
The quality of the work on the FE2b is fantastic, & has to be seen to be believed
Unfortunately that’s not easy to do. I popped into Hendon yesterday, and found that it is still hidden in the darkest possible corner, with high barriers in front of it. It deserves to be presented in a better way. 🙁
It was good to see that the B.E.2 and Tabloid have been moved into the Grahame-White Factory though, which gives then greater accessibility. 🙂
It was the Matadors, being shot from an RV-8. Dibbs again!
Then he jumped into a Bonanza with the door off and went up again to shoot the P-47
A certain Mr J Dibbs was noted at Duxford today. I wonder if he was involved? 😀
Any chance of a link please?
