Well I bet they are short of Spits, there’s one minus a wing I can think off to start with.

From the published listings it would appear so far that ARCo/HFL are not sending any aircraft to the Biggin Hill event, and BHHH are not doing this event at Duxford.

Have you ever done a flightline tour there AMB?

Sorry to hear that Dave. Well done for recording his story, as each year passes the opportunities to do so get less and less.

That ’17 was passed from one prospective operator to another over many years. I’m not convinced there was ever a serious attempt to getting it flying though.

I still cringe every time I spot the electric doorbell as Christopher Plummer and Ian McShane leave the house.

Of course all of this is irrelevant. In about 6 weeks time it will make its final landing at Doncaster, and the only way it is ever going anywhere after that is in a large number of skips.

To the average visitor none of that really matters. It still comes down to the question, why would you need two Vulcans at Coventry Airport, regardless of which particular group’s auspices they come under?

Airplanes? Aren’t they what those awful colonials call Aeroplanes? I know Cornwall is one of the far Western outposts, somewhere beyond Windsor, but I didn’t think it was that far West Mr K!

Its the awful, cringeworthy name given to the CWHM Lancaster on its tour last year to make it sound cuddly and cute and to appeal to the masses.

Hardly fair, the ‘stupid’ legal dispute remained unresolved mainly due to the death of the Lancaster’s owner in a Spitfire accident

I’ve personally stood in a warehouse in the U.S. and looked down the rows of Merlin engine cores in containers. The supply is still out there, but it won’t last forever.

The thought process is plain to see, to prolong the gravy train for as long as possible.

Go read his Facebook page and see for yourself .

Perhaps you’d like to point us to the part which tells us this information?

Old Warden made it very clear that they were likely to sell out, and gave a couple of days notice before they stopped selling tickets.
