But surely, apart from the IWM shop, all the traders are independent, paying the IWM for their pitch. So why would IWM care in the least whether the money goes to the ice cream vans, the booksellers, or the bouncy castle? As long as the traders keep coming back and paying for their pitch, surely that is all that matters to them. The idea that IWM will discriminate on parking spots, and therefore who they do and don’t allow in, based on some theory of where people will spend their money once they get inside the gate is, quite frankly, bizarre.

Since the AAM is shortly to be closed for a complete revamp it’s not worth a dusting of the exhibits.

Apparently one of the reasons for the AA refurbishment is that the dust is coming from the concrete and is proving damaging to the exhibits. If there was ever a building which was not ‘fit for purpose’ the AAM is it.

There aren’t, they are now pretty much extinct. There is one in the US, converted by Marshall’s a decade or so back as the ‘Pegasus’ launch vehicle, that still flies very occasionally, and that’s about it.
