pg 38 says, Russian pilots flew drunk into Georgia!!…holy toledo.
There’s Su-25 HUD footage & cockpit recordings from the Georgian campaign on YouTube, it’s most impressive and if the Russian pilots were drunk- that’s even more impressive!!
Was that J-20 pilot drunk? ’cause that was a take-off the Wright Bros. would be familiar with

Or more to the point, this sucker generating enough power for the Irbis-E..
Yeah, also the KnAAPO website has for the first time revealed the 117S’ military/dry thrust figures:
‘Wet’: 14,500kgf/ 31,967lbf/ 142.2kN
‘Dry’: 8,800kgf/ 19,400lbf/ 86.3kN

…not bad at all 😀
Believed to be the first series NAPO modernised MiG-31BM (pic taken yesterday):

…and the guys @ Irkut are falling about laughing “welcome to 1998, fellas!!”.
But seriously, I assume the fighter-pilot order is:
Yak-130>>>Su-27>>>Su-27SM>>>Su-30MK2>>>Su-35S>>>PAK-FA…quite a ladder to climb!
IIrc, only the 117S engines generate enough power for the ‘Irbis-E’.
anyone can resize the J-20 to fit the size of another fighter. I can resize the J-20 so it looks closer to the Gripen’s size.
What are the odds the MiG E-721 would be a perfect match?! he:Dhe:eek:he:Dhe:eek:he:Dhe:eek:he:Dhe:p (;)).
Yes and here they are being disassembled for delivery to India:
Show me the money!
Saab this week delivered the front and central fuselage sections of the nEUROn European Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV)
Which “European 40,000lb next-gen turbofan”, would that be??
The future one that’s impossible to reverse engineer/counterfeit for those that are re-exported back to the PRC (including Stuxnet 5.0).
See Erkokite- I’ve thought of everything!
Import J-10B airframes, install a European 40,000lb next-gen turbofan, kit it out with Selex AESA & customised EW- there you have it!!
Should come in @ half the cost of a Typhoon!
How could that be since the J-20 is made from salvaged F-117 parts?
Is ‘the J-20 has a very close affinity with MiG’s losing PAK-FA contender and has RAM coatings based on a downed F-117’– such a totally unreasonable supposition? I’m not saying it’s wrong, as the ends justify the means.
To be honest, I think Hu Jintao is deeply embarrassed about the tactless hubris and jingoism of the PLA hierarchy regarding the entire handling of the J-20 ‘unveiling’. Politically it’s been most unprofessional and would have left a sour aftertaste during his state visit to the US, already beset with difficult issues where his intention would have been to calm frayed nerves.
It will only serve to support US ‘hawks’ opinions that the PLA as somehow renegade from the civilian leadership and China rising is a threat- not a economic partner.
