Scrapyard ??
Closer

seem to be a lot of cars…but there is perhaps some stuff in the trees as well – there are a couple of paths for instance.

hope this helps
cheers

This is and has always been intended as a static restoration.
so I’ll have to come over to NZ to view her then….
silver lining to every cloud
Chris
Recently I bought this bit of oak from someone who said that it had been passed down to them by some bloke called Noah. I thought that I might use it in the rebuild of a classic wooden boat………………………………………..
I’d check the provenance on this one…..my Biblical studies are virtually non – existant but wasn’t the Biblical Ark supposed to be of gopher wood, or the Baylonian one Cedar (Cypress) or the Assyrian one Reeds
I’d say you’ve been had there,
Chris

RAF East Wretham (USAAF Station No. 133) = Woodbrook
I stand corrected
we have the technology to rebuild – apparently
don’t really think you could do much with it
A piece of airframe fabric 5″ x 3″ silver framed and with the inscription BULLDOG 14.12.1931.
have to agree about the Kenley reference though….thouroughly bad show on the part of the auction house. Doesn’t actually inspire confidence in their provenancing
Provenance……well……..yes.
thats all really, and the word of a respected auctioneer, who has (one hopes) delved deeply into the provenance of the entire collection on your behalf
and perhaps friends and colleagues and family saying yes that was Douglas’.
and belief on the buyer’s part
I’m going to be a bad boy and say
it was all found locked in the basement of the Stork Hotel in Liverpool

Right you’ve done it now
Edward Shacklady’s “De Haviland Mosquito” is off the shelf and about to be read again.
Starting to look gorgeous…I love mozzies, wish I had the money for one (hah)
is the plan for a restoration to flying condition at all ?….suppose not.
