That’s a shame, would have been good to see you there. Hope the weather is good, some relatives coming from Scotland at the furthest. Should be wonderful if it goes to plan, everything crossed.

Although not quite as high profile as some 70th Anniversary celebrations this year, the 18th of this month brings that of our crew and Lancaster W4270’s demise.

A small private service has been planned by Miss Annie Hogg in tribute to this crew and I’m delighted to say that several relatives have confirmed attendance and will be meeting up for the first time, including a couple of sisters, cousins nephews, nieces and family members and friends. We have members of the Royal British Legion as well as staff from RAF Syerston amongst others involved with this project and we are hoping to do them proud!
