Here’s just a few of mine from a very good day out…
I’ve always been a big EE Lightning fan, but seeing a Jav up close for the first time in many years at RIAT last week, made me pause for thought…but not for long
It keeps good company too!!
As promised
Reds and F117
Anyone care to post a shot of it?
Will do when I get in tonight.

I thought the 100 Years of Flight was thoughtfully well-organised, and was pleasantly surprised. When I saw a map of the layout a few weeks ago it looked as though it would be a real bun-fight as you made your way along a designated path. Not at all. Well done to all of those who must have put in a lot of very hard work.
Generally I thought it was a pretty good RIAT. Nothing startling, but with a B-2, B-1, Phantom and F117 all in the flying display I came away happy (but completely exhausted). I appreciate that jets and all that new fangled stuff doesn’t have universal appeal on this Board, but my interests extend to anything to do with military aviation.
I’ll post some pics later

There are so many, but the following immediately come to mind (in no particular order) –
1. Seeing the SR-71 displays at Mildenhall – just stunning
2. The first time I saw the B-2 in flight at Fairford – awesome
3. Lightning displays – especially when they just stood the plane on its tail and it disappeared out of sight!
4. Watching the Vulcan perform a touch and go – talk about making the earth move!
5. Massed Spits at Duxford at the Spit anniversary in 1998
6. Aussie F-111 doing a dump and burn at Boscombe Down in 1992

This is about the only other one that I have to hand from the Wethersfield 63/64 vintage – once again credit to my Dad…
I went to the Anglo American show at Bassingbourn in 1978, but whether that was the only one, I don’t know.

PS Credit to my Dad for the KB-50 and FAA pics – even I was a bit too young in ’63/64!!

If I’ve posted either of these before, apologies…
