the ABM system as purely defensive since a fully functioning system like that (which it IMO never will be) would disturb or completely shatter the nuclear balance of mutually assured destruction which effectively prevented the world from a major nuclear conflict.

To quote a Typhoon sub commander: ” Nothing can stop 200 MIRVs, there is no defence against that”

Now can we get back to Flankers, please?

The Gripen wasn’t cleared for the AIM-9M, simply because the SweAF has only -9L. Since the JAS-39 were leased, the Czechs couldn’t just “tweak” them by themselves, they had to ask Saab to integrate the AIM-9M, which took some time – during that time they used -9L for QRA.
Besides, you can’t simply “tweak” with the a/c software in order to install your own weapons – you would need the source codes for that.

I still think that you could “hardwire” AIM-120C onto AIM-120B aircraft logic […]

I don’t mean to be rude, but what you think is totlly irellevant. Hard facts is what matters. One of those hard facts is that the Czech AF could not use their AIM-9M-9 Sidewinders on their new Gripens because it didn’t have the necessary software, so the Swedes had to lend them a few -9Ls until they integrated the -9M. So I would be very surpried if a -120 could be “hardwired” as you say, when even the far less complex -9 can’t.

On the other hand, the whole issue is irrelevant, as nobody would sell/purchase a missile without the needed software update to make it work properly.

What are the advantages of this arrangement?

It’s more confortable to reach it and easier to see the lower part of the front cockpit panel, especially when the seat is tilted back (F-16, Rafale,…)

Is it difficult for left-handed pilots to adapt?

Not much more difficult than on any other jet. Remember, the left hand is always on the throttles 😉

And lastly, are there any other countries that have followed suit on the design of their new jets?

    France, with the Rafale.

A very well suited camo on that Chadian PC-7! Notice how much it resembles to the hazy desert sky.

I think what we’re seeing on the Helo is the Shield of the Namibian Air Force (not the roundel)

Sorry, i don’t see any shield on the Hind. I only see a big flag that is identical to the newest one of Congo-Kinshasa. Again, why?

The people in Borat were mostly from Romania

Yes, from one of the poorest gypsy villages in Romania.
Don’t expect to see that everywhere. Dumb movie, anyway.

Throughout the 90, new Morocco acquired Mirage 2000 and F-16 thanks to the financial aid of the Arab Emirates Unidos and Saudi Arabia. Years later, 12 F-16A and 4 F-16B were acquired that previously had served in the National Guard of the U.S.A.

The guy who wrote that is a complete idiot.
morocco, if you don’t believe us that neither Saudi Arabia, nor Marocco have F-16s, go to this site

and tell them what you told us. You’ll only embarass yourself.

    RIP.

The Canadians should go for the Swiss Hawks. Last I heard they will be scrapped soon if they wont find a buyer.

It would be a shame to scrap them. How much life is left in the airframes?
How many Hawks are stored? All Mk66 I guess? Any pictures of them stored?
