07 stands for the year (2007). If you bother to go back to page 2, post #33, you’ll see that the other plane bears the number 07-101. Kinda like fiscal years on US planes (91-…)
Ok, some more finds:
lots of images from the graveyard at Craiova taken in summer 2006 can be found here:

George, are you still around? I remember you were asking for pictures of #002 and 114 from the Bucharest museum in the original paint scheme, as they were in October 2002

first prototype 001 at Craiova with the test pilots (among them Coman Corneliu, Dobre Stan, Gheorghe Tamas, Vagner Stefanel, Ionescu Mihai) and ground crew
two-seater 183 while in service
Just noticed that my favourite thread moved to page 2; time for action!
you mean page 56?:D
Anyway, what variant is the Mi-24K? The difference I see is in the optical sensor on the starboard side of the nose, modified lateral door, no ramps for AT-6 – what is it? What is it’s role?
Komsomolsk-na-Amur (KnAAPO) – where they normally produce single-seaters. The tandem two-seaters are normally built at Irkutsk (IAAPO)
Didn’t the Chinese also request that their Su-30s be built at KnAAPO?
What about the An-26 nearby? Is it in active use by the Moldovan AF or is it also to be sold?
As I said in my post just below of the picture poted by Calimero – it’s an An-30 (former Romanian AF #1103)
offcourse i will not tell evrything in know nor will i tell where and how i was tranied
I was just curious, there is not much info available about Iraqi AF Su-24s, that’s why I was asking details such as training places, weapons, numbers,…
I wasn’t trying to make you prove who you are – I took for granted your statement that you are a former IrAF Fencer pilot.
i am here to talk about aircrafts for the love of flying. and that only…
That’s what I was trying to do – but all you talk so far is Jordanian crown signs and americans.
I don’t know who they belong to, but they surely have the Moldovan AF roundel. At the end of the MiG line there’s a An-30 – that’s a former Romanian AF serial 1103 – sold to the Moldovans early last year.
Do they have any customers for the Fulcrums? Or did they perform the overhaul just to make them more attractive for potential buyers?
six left-over MiG-29s which had undergone major overhaul in Ukraine
That’s news to me – so they were overhauled prior to 2004? Are they flying now?
The roudel image shows that they are not worn-out as I thought initially, but it’s a new low-vis camo scheme (replaceing the wel-known flashy green)

The Egyptian MiG you posted is definatly a PFS (forward hinged canopy, small chord tail, parachute container above the engine,…) not an MF as the title of the photo says
I’d be very curious about the Moldovan Fulcrums – are these two part of the 6 that still remain in country after the major sale to USA in 1997? They look very worn – any idea when was the picture taken?
IRAQI_PILOT, could you please give us some detail about the Iraqi Su-24? Things like:
-when were delivered (all together or in batches), how many (some say 24, others 25), what weapons came with them
-where and how long did you train on them in the USSR
-your general impression about the plane (compared with Su-22/other types you flew)
-how many pilots were operational on the Su-24 in January 1991? I heard none…
thank you
They acquired 7 from Poland (6 bis and 1 UM), which were refurbished/upgraded by IAI. One bis crashed in lake Victoria.
Known serials are 9307, 9811, 9818 for the bis and again 9307 for the UM, but this one has been reserialled U-801 in Uganda.
