Here is a video of Croatian forces being bombed:
What plane is used (my guess is G-4)?
Approximately when and where did it happen?

They has 10 MiG-29B in their inventory.
8 MiG-29A (variant 9-12B) and 2 MiG-29UB
And NAF 551 is a Mil Mi-34 Hermit, right?

I don´t know the red container but I guess it´s transport container for baggage and some equipment. Under wing is Giat 20mm gun pod (black) and again the same for me unknown container as on the picture with brimstones and tiald
The red container is for target-towing, the white one is a practice bomb (BDU) dispenser – holds 4 small blue practice bombs which release a white smoke on impact.
The pod in the picture with brimstones and TIALD is something else – looks like a photo recon pod.
Phantom II:
I’m wondering about that GIAT 20-mm cannon pod. How does it compare to the Plamen and how many rounds does it carry?
Giat NC 621 has 180 20mm rounds, but only one barrel, while Plamen has 2 barrels.

My sympathies are with the UIC, which has brought peace to Somalia after such a long time, only to be spoiled by Uncle Sam’s interference, and a foreign invasion, something that the UN should have condemned instead of stand back silently.
Cut the crap! UIC clearly stated several times that their goal is the creation of a “Larger Somalia” by incorporating parts of Ethiopia, Djibouti and Kenya. Now that’s peaceful.
8000+ mercenarys came to their help (makes me wonder why local Somalis won’t enlist for the UIC if they brought so much peace and stability to the country).
bwt what is LM?
Lockheed Martin.
South Korea’s already lost 1 F-15K in an accident
Make that 2 – check the old thread.
The photo mentioned was taken the following day as I flew over the base. I have a few more photos taken in sequence but the camera is a real “El cheapo”. I have them on my laptop which is U/S at the moment, will post them as soon as its fixed.
Welcome to the forum, gregair! Can’t wait to see’em posted.
Banshee, again, amazing job!

US didn’t supply JDAMs to other NATO country… Why would you think that they will supply best weapons they have to be integrated in a plane produced by competition… Look for US … all is business

First of all, he was talking about AMRAAMS, not JDAMS. AMRAAM C-5s will be delivered to both Czech Rep. and Hungary.
And yes, NATO countries have also received JDAMs (Norway, Holland…). Poland also ordered JDAM.

How about the Viggen?
They are being scrapped as we speak.
The most visible (exterior) modification of the upgrade mentioned by fermar is the grey radome (instead of the original black ones)
What is that smoke coming downwards near the exhaust?
APU – auxiliary power unit. Directly above the smoke, on top of the rear fuselage you can see the opened doors of the APU air inlet.
Here: http://ipmssa.za.org/ in the article about Cheetah
it is acknowleged that they received some main fuselage parts from Israel, around which Denel built the Cheetah Cs.
Common sense tells that they would go for inter-service commonality. Nobody wants a flying zoo these days.
