Probably they are withradwn from use
No, they are not. 6 can be seen on the pad at Sana’a with additional 6 parking spots having oil/fuel stains – so you could guess that between 6 and 12 could still be operational.
Another one, also at Ianca on 21 April 2001
Serial Su-33KUB
Just a poor PS.
Here’s my latest “work”, an updated version of the kmz. file from post #371
Enjoy!
P.S. Any corrections or additions are most welcome!
Would anyone have a pic of MiG-21bisD #110? It’s the only one I don’t have out of the 12 overhauled ones!
It could very well be! Nice find!
aircraft-9 011.jpg are Mirage F1
Iraf- Su-22-5.jpg shows Su-20s, not Su-22 (no back hump)
Iraf-mig-15UT-1.jpg are MiG-15 UTI, not UT-1
Good job, keep them coming!
The Sout-Korean Ka-32 SAR bird
What’s the story behind this FJ-4 pic? towed bombs?
More likely towed targets
Here’s a (very) low-res pic of 114 with the original camo, from “Cer Senin” magazine.

That must be the cleanest An-12 I ever saw – very nice pic!
Does anyone have any information on a presentation of a IAR-93 to a greek delegation
No. But the Iranians were interested in the plane – some of their pilots received orientation flights on the type in Romania in 1989. The dual-seater #605 received a desert camo as part of the marketing effort (see the incas pic gallery in the link provided in post #4 of this thread)
Here are two pics from an airshow at Ianca AB on April 21 2001 – the IAR-93s were grounded since 1998, and never flew with this camo scheme.
