Hi PhantomII.

Just in case your wondering why I’m seaking info, it’s to skin models for European Air Wars. This is the model of “Our John” I’m working on at the moment. I try to make the planes as close as I can get, using the limitations of the flight sim engine. The skin has be painted by a friend of mine Dean, who lives in Aussie land, and I live in UK, and do the 3d mods. 🙂

I’d love it if you could turn up some more pics of either type, so we can make more planes.:)

Thanks PhantomII for the pics! The second one is just what I was looking for as it’s a tropical filter version, and the only other one I’ve found was “Our John” BN795 which was a standard version MkIID in desert camo.

Any ideas what squadron that plane is from? 🙂

Thanks for the picture, and now we have a much better idea how they were painted. Is your friend Bruce Robertson, available via email? Because if he is I think he would be an excellent source of info for our project.

The only picture we have been able to find so far of a DC2, is this one, which is at Habbaniya in May 1941. It’s not very clear, but suggests brown/green camo scheme. So I would question the information you have PhantomII.
