One of the things you all may wish to know is that 11 April when we visited, Ken Wallis said it was 73 years to the day when he obtained his licence!
I know the counciol have been informed but I’m not yet sure what the current status is on the other two.

Regarding listed property on MoD land, I know of loads. Some of the guys on AiX were personally involved in listing alot of the buildings.

Plough, that really is a great bit of detective work, I can’t thank you enough for this.
Like you, I had started going through alot of Russian airfields and found so many with a similar layout, they look like they are built to the same spec with the same size runway, taxiways etc.

isn’t there a large model victor that appears at airshows occasionally, I recall seeing it at Cosford two or three years ago
