It was demolised in May 2009. Photos on the AiX thread of the pile of rubble!
Believe they mentioned it was Inyokern, which happens to be within, or adjacent to the USN’s China Lake facaility in California.
Yes, according to Captain Slow, it is Inyokern, California

If any of you can help ID any of the vehicles then I would appreciate it.

Great Photos James, they look alot better than mine!!
I took alot of photos when I was up there a couple of weeks ago, really sad to see the place now. Most of the current info is on AiX in the thread link Peter put up.
There are a few photos I took last year and in 2007 on my website here;

I’ll be adding all the recent photos when I get 5 minutes to myself!
None of these buildings have long left if they haven’t already been demolished. The demolition guys were really good and let myself and Jason walk around and take photos but they did say in would all be flattened within a matter of weeks.
Couple of photos from my visit on 2nd June that I have already put on AiX;
Type J Aircraft Shed

Site of Main Stores (Rubble in the distance), Armoury and Workshops
The ‘new’ Tower is not going to be demolished yet as it is not part of the main site and owned by someone else.
The main airfield site we were told will be quarried so give it 5 to 10 years and there will be nothing left at all.
