    I think most of us find the whole of the Key Publishing forums/fora? very informative. I know I have definitely learnt things on here that I’ve not seen anywhere else.

    Agree with that completely.

    Sadly I find a number of people on here have spoilt this forum for me though, hence the few postings I make now a days…

    One of the reasons I rarely post on this forum now is due to the ‘know alls’ and the personal attacks you get on here. While my main interest is realting to old airfields, hence the AiX forum, this forum is certainly not as frienly and welcoming as it once used to be. I have been questioned several times on things that I have posted due to people not believing me, there are too many trolls on here too.

    While there is alot of great info on here, and yes it can be a great resource, let the bitchyness stop. There are too many people who really need to grow up and stop hiding behind the computer screen…..

    Thank you for the suggestion. Whilst I don’t have an account over there I have some web-contacts and some of the NAM members / friends have accounts. I believe that the CSDE question re Winthorpe has been asked before, but with little feedback.

    Might it be worth you posting the question too? I always promone the NAM when I get email updates from Howard on AiX, be good to have input from one of the NAM guys on AiX too.

    As for your original question, currently I don’t know if we have anything in our archives but they are now at the early stages of being catalogued since we now have a perminant home at Alconbury.

    Thanks for the replies folks, so we are still really none the wiser to an identity for this HS.748!

    Cheers

    That was quick, thanks Brian. Any ideas of the identity of it?

    The third photo has been identified as ex TAESA B737-200 XA-PBA

    Another photo found on the web here;

    Thanks all

    Ah, so that’s the reason the ones on the left look round whilst the ones on the right are square? Hmm.
    Is the chimney original to the design too? ;o)

    As I said, it’s a bit of heat haze.

    It clearly says Boeing on the side

    The chimney is obviously an addition, I’d guess it’s been used for fire training or something similar.

    The last photo is definitely a 737, the windows are the same its just a bit of heat haze that is distorting them. The 1-11 mentioned earlier is still there
