Personally, I think India should have selected the Super Hornet for the MMRCA. Which, would have shared the same engine with the forthcoming LCA MK II. Then maybe she could have joined the US (Boeing) and combined the F/A-XX (NGFA) and the AMCA Programs.

india didnt choose the super hornet beacuse i think india just handles the russian aircraft fine. many countries choose russian fighters beacuse i dont know. they shouldve choosed the super hornet. brazil is awaiting for the final competitors rafale, super hornet, and gripen ng.
