The people that truly have access disagree with your assessment. So, unless you can make a case that they’re not being truthful and are misleading the general publix. Then I will stick with them………

F-35 is still not a rival in A2A for the Raptor and it’s never going to be. F-35 is mostly a rival plane at A2G just like the F-15E was. which F-35 is more optimized in A2G operations which is why its going to team up with the Raptor and the Super Hornet for a HI and LO mix alike. I don’t know where you get these nonsense claims.

as is the F-18. Its always been that way. pots, meet kettles. The Growler is the most specialized hornet variant. All the rest are jacks of all trades, can we stop going full retard, now?

So are many aircraft. Every aircraft that replaces is a jack of trades. I see the Rafale F-15 etc.

You guys are causing amusement arguing which ones better. For the sake move on. this thread is all about protesting. NOT supporting facts anyhow. There’s nothing completely informative anyhow.

To conclude the F-18E/F will serve as a great a2a platform once it gets teamed up with the F-35. And the F-35 serving well in the strike role and multi-mission roles too. Remember it’s not the platform, it’s the systems. Both fighters will be serving in the US Navy. They have stuff that’s common and ones actually newer.

Both of you need to STFU for once. It’s annoying once things go wrong you guys argue crap. Let the aircraft serve their buiesness. Let them see the light. Once they are proven in combat they will be superior. Scooter the E/F is a true strike (Multirole) platform. Let them do their roles. Aircraft are not here to be disussed on which ones better. Aircraft that it replaced certainly is more better.

I didn’t say it will openly be enhanced in aerodynamics. I said maybe. But EPE would help in aerodynamics a little bit. But we will determine once it has it during testing next month. Which end of the envelope is the SH mostly lacking?

EPE is not for aerodynamic increase. It may increase a little bit once you have a couple of missiles on the pylons. It would raise to 35% while other fighters have aerodynamics up to 55%. EPE is to raise the SH A2A capability add better acceleration and manuverability in those departments.

Both the F-22 and F-35 were designed by the same company. (i.e. Lockheed Martin) In addition the current Chief Test Pilot for the F-35 is on record as stating the aircraft has exceptional aerodynamics. So, would you like to support your claims with facts……….

    Respectfully,

    Scooter

maybe he meant SH? or F-35?. So when growler saw the posts maybe he thought it was disrespectful to say it to the SH(or at least thought it was about the SH). growler deleted his post anyway. So why does the SH had bad aerodynamics? I think it has outstanding aerodynamics

All of the numbers seems to be coming down as predicted. Just need a good order to give the program a little boost……….Hopefully, South Korea will select the F-35 for it’s next fighter. Which, I am betting it will.

OMG really? No way SK will pick the F-35. 🙂

I dont see how fleet of Typhoon and F35 could in anyway be seen in the seen in the same hi-lo mix that mff was meant to be i would suggest both aircraft are high value assets.
Not sure why hawk 200 would be seen as such a poor asset am i missing something?

The RAF isn’t going to do a HI and LO fleet. The Typhoon is just staying until 2030-40 than until now the F-35 will be a “Jack Of All Trades Master at none”. If a new fighter joins the fleet than it will be more like one doing air superiority and one doing strike missions. That’s how it will be like once two aircrafts are on the same fleet/force.
