Depends on the level of Alcohol I have consumed……..:very_drunk:
You’d definitely wouldn’t accept it even if you were drunk enough. 😮
I think you need to cut back on the medication. It will be your undoing…………JUST SAYING!
“You can’t handle the truth”….. caaan you? 😉
Hey Does anybody know how is the F-35 is truly better than a updated F-16 and could it even out-maneuver a F-16 or SU-27/35 in a close in fight?
I have to really get in reality about the F-35. It wasn’t really built for that role though, the sensors/AESA alone make it better then a F-16 at the strike mission, especially in hardened areas where a little bit of stealth might make enough of a difference.
It was never meant to engage against a Flanker, it will always lose that fight. But it does have the ability to track targets at extreme angles with the DAS and EODAS, it just needs a proper high off-boresight missile to take advantage of that and it won’t be stuck in that kind of fight. That is more a of dream then reality at this point. It’s advantage is BVR which is strictly the F-35’s mission.
Its also not meant to be a exact superior air to air platform because it’s not capable in doing all of the Air to air missions. In WVR it’s likely to be a flaw and you F-35 fanboys keep predicting propaganda about it doing well in all of it’s roles. instead it was designed to be a mud mover(Do ground attack superiorly well) in a sky protected by Raptors. I’m not always believing what the F-35 Pilots or fanboys say. It’s small wings doesn’t make it fulfill in a close combat fight. I’d say it’s capable in BVR but it isn’t in a close in fight. I’d doubt it could handle its self in within visual range. Shame We should’ve kept more F-16’s to upgrade em now my 16 is going away so i had to say my thoughts about the 35.
No – that was the totally fictitious ‘Firefox’ – hence the name of the film.
BTW, the Sukhoi T-4 actually weighed 100 tonnes – hence its nickname ‘Sotka’ (the 100).
It also only had a two-man crew – and quadruple-redundant FBW controls…..
It fulfilled its design goals – but was cancelled for political reasons.
Ken
That’s a big *** plane.
As a matter of fact I would love to see a number of Typhoons used as Aggressors by the USN/USMC/USAF. Which, are available used (T1) from RAF Stocks. Which, could be supported by private contractors. Really, I see it as very doable………..
Why do you predict such jokes? Duh it’s never going to happen. Even at least dreaming of it isn’t becoming a reality. LOL, why would Typhoons want to join the DACT from the Navy? We already have the F-5F and the SH to do that.

Hard to decide which one looks fancier

Actually if you change the IAF to the Navy version of the Tomcat you’ll get an accurate look/paint scheme. Hard to decide the personal “looks”. However the black&white paint scheme looks fancy enough while the IAF F-14 scheme looks hideous.
The fancy”looks”= F-14.
The fancy colors= SU-34
I tend to read more than post but this reply left me rolling on the floor. Seriously that system described has more to do with a modern jetliner ala 737 and nothing to do with a SHornet.
LOL. I didn’t really care beacuse many people can correct his “claim”. 😉 He just claimed how the ECS works on a modern or “commercial” plane. He only corrected some of the OP’s above. His first claim seems to be accurate enough to provide the answer.
The PAF has considered the MAA-1B for their aircraft. It’s with much better manuverablility with 60g compared to the original with 50g. The MAA-1B has new compontet parts which parts are 80% Brasilian. The rocket motor on the MAA-1B has 2 stages while the MAA-1 has 1 stage. The maximum seeker boresight angle is ~90 and the MAA-1 is <40°.

Why are they replacing such legacy planes in the Navy? What does this thing provide better? Is it faster? Stealthy?
OMG another Super Hornet critic. Really? Those links are from an idiot responding(mabye a critic that has no experiance whatsoever or must be a Tomcat fanboy). Really it isn’t a super faliure it’s a great aircraft. Complete BS you had just posted 🙁 Turning, climbing and maneuvering is its key aspect in a WVR engagment. Now move on you delusional critic. Those were from many years ago. Jesus, this is getting ridiculous on every critic i’ve heard on a forum or news sponsoring. 😡
If you want any questions on the Super Bug….. Ask me 😉
And for that, this is why forums are becoming such ridiculous things on the Internet…. Even about critics hitting on such aircraft. Forums and aircraft defense critics are becoming delusional jokes 😮 I think you should ignore the critic hitting on the super hornet. They might be such trolls
😉
Look at the like and dislike bar 😉
No look at the comments :highly_amused: 😎 😀
