Hi Guys!
Here is the killer Mirage.
thanks guys

What i was about to say
well said
perfect!
I think a brand new run of B-1s, using modern materials and processes would be a good replacement for the B-52, with the new bomber replacing the B-2…
no need to go all crazy tech for a long range bomber with a long loiter time over a mild to benign air environment. modernised B-1 would fit the bill nicely
no not really, a b-1 replacing the b-52 isn’t a good idea.
all hail the tea pot! 😀
ya know, the russians weren’t very successful going outer space. 🙂
fantastic

What’s Mk2?
mirage 2000
interesting thread.
here’s mine:

Super Hornet is a component of a defensive system which meets the Navy’s requirements against current threats.
Carrier Strike Group air defenses can be depicted as a series of concentric circles, with the outermost circle provided by AIM-120s launched from Super Hornets, backed by E-2Cs.
The next ring is SM-2s.
The 3rd ring is Evolved Sea Sparrow.
The 4th ring is Rolling Airframe Missile.
And the final defensive ring is Phalanx.
yea that’s what i told growler, that it can handle future threats against Sukhois, frank had it wrong when he said about the flanker out turning the bug. the bug can actually out turn a flanker if the rhino driver needs to push its limits if he’s going supersonic then making a hard turn, than pull the plane as hard as you can to pull dramatically fast. that said yea a E-2 can be its AWACS to support the super hornet which the AWACS tells him when and where the Sukhoi is going. that said everybody forgot about aim-9x it’s a very maneuverable missile. but the super hornet will be challenging in the air as far as i know about it’s air to air capabilites. so is the E-2 still a remaining plane from the 70s? what will replace the E-2?
🙂
growler, i hope you understand what the navy service does/requires for every aircraft does.
Super Hornet is a Multirole aircraft, it can preform air superiority, ground attack and many other roles. So give me proof on how a Sukhoi can out turn the SH or run it out of gas. Please give me a source, in my understanding i never said it was a primary air superiority fighter. I said the super hornet is darn capable in air to air. But it isn’t a bomb truck you’ll want to go to war in, I’ll want to go with the F-35 as the good and better bomb truck.
Whatever your opinion 😉
even if the tomcat were still in service it would’ve been the primary ground attack aircraft/striker aircraft of today. but the secondary role for the tomcat would’ve been intercepting. the government acquires the navy to be using the aircraft as a ground attack plane. just like the phantom, it had the first role as a ground attack plane then had air superiority as its 2nd primary mission was air superiority, phantom excelled air superiorty by killing the MiG’s. super hornets main role is ground attack, secondary mission is air superiority. while the super hornet has very capable air superiority capabilites, it is only used for air superiority when theres a threat to carriers or when training your super hornet into fighting the incoming Sukhois. super hornet and flanker are the great match for dogfights. frank, there’s no way the flanker can out turn any aircraft in a dogfight. super hornet can pull its limits frank, what you see in demos there not trying to pull ANY planes limits. super hornet isn’t inferior in terms of turning, id doubt the flanker can out turn the bug frank, super hornet has the unlimited energy and can sustain 8gs to get the kill fast when entering supersonic speed then pulling a hard turn then enter 8gs then dramatically pull the plane then get your kill.
aslo the f-8 was a air to air fighter after the Vietnam war ended they used the crusaders as a primary ground attack plane. growler… the super Hornets a superoir air superiority fighter in its secondary role, but the navy has to be doing ground attack missions. they did it the same as the tomcat, phantom and f-8 to be primary ground attack planes after there was no more war.
