thanks for the info mate, i know what you mean, the aircraft ars so packed in, it makes some types of pics really impossoble, especially the v force 🙁
SORRY….its supposed to be manchester today, and liverpool tomorrow, any info on any timings would be excellent, thanks 😮
Thats some sample bottle! 😮 GREAT pictures, it really is great to see some of the inner workings, and they demonstrate how massive a task you guys have, to keep her in tip top shape…………..and how well you do it!
simpy stunning, best i have seen. what camera and lens do you use. these shots make me want to throw my camera in the wheelie bin:o
Thanks for the info chaps, much appreciated! 🙂
I guess RIAT will be a no show for XH558 then 🙁
As is always said, the vulcan and the victor must have looked like somthing out of the DAN-DARE comic when these birds were first test flown. If there is a fast run in august, why not charge a veiwing fee, or ask for a “DONATION” i for one (i know it would take many) would be glad to pay for the privilage of hearing and seeing this beast fire up and roll down the tarmac!! ;). I did notice that the volunteers at the YAM do a guided tour of the HALIFAX for a fee, is it feasable for you to do the same with Lindy. Keep up the good work chaps, she really is a credit to your hard work!!!!
She really looks as though she is in her junior years and from what i have seen on the forum, its the same story on the inside! I think its those massive air intakes that make it look so “menacing” As soon as you approach the turn off into the elvington museum, the first thing you see is this aircraft, looking like its still on QRA awaiting the call!! by the way does anyone kow how much air these machines can intake per min/sec ?

Im pretty new to the aircraft world, But all these posts taking shots at the preservation group remind me of the railway preservation scene. My Father is one of a handful of voulenteers that preserved, and now operate one of the BIG mainline steam locomotives, and has spent year after year working hard for the love of the hobby etc . and its the same story there…………..Loads of people saying how things should be done or why isnt it in this colour etc etc, or taking for granted that these things just run themselves and appear just like that, so they can take nice pictures. USUALLY these people have never been near the tools or gotten involved with any aspect in the running of the thing. SO my message to you BULLSHOOTER and obviousley all your colleuges, is one of thanks for getting involved , putting the hard work in, and turning out an aircraft, that i have really grown to love over a short period of time. And now thanks to the hard work of TVOC, hopefully will see in the air, and also for futre generations to come, NO here comes the disclaimer……………this post isnt having ago at anyone nor do i intend to start a post battle of words. Its just a personal opinion and a vote of thanks to the people like bullshooter who are actually out there doing the hard work. Im sure there are posters who know the aircraft inside out, but its a different ball game actually getting your hands on the thing and getting it in the air!!!
Stunning shot.
Thanks fella’s, didnt want to turn the thread into a sarcastic one, but just to see what your thoughts were………:o
