Listened to Radio 2 at dinnertime, the talk show had a the debate on wether it was right or wrong, John Nichol was for, the campaign and Bruce Kent of CND was against, they also had an english veteran who was in one of the cities at the time of the bombing, he has been on the show before and described what he saw, however he didnt condem Churchill nor did he condem Harris.
My personal view echoes that of John Nichol who quite rightly stated that we WERE at War and Bomber Command were the only ones who could strike back….
Afraid it’s not anti-flash but standard white as painted by the apprentices a good few years ago.
I think its as near as possible we will see for a Vulcan in Anti Flash, unless XH558 gets another lottery grant and theres about as much chance of that as the VTS has of not sending any begging letters this season 😉 😉
Thanks for the links, Fingers crossed that she will be safe for years to come….and remains in Anti Flash!!!
I seem to have missed soemthing..what are the details of her being saved?
have you not heard the legend of the Secret Dambusting Spitfire…..after the war it is believed it was crated and sent to Burma for underground storage…..:eek:
Speaking of the Dakota, we saw it fly low over our jubilee party on Saturday afternoon a spectacular sight…..During the “official” flypast on the Monday, the sky commentaor began to mention the black and white stripes, but didnt finish….Can you learned chaps tell me the info on them……..;)
Im sure everyone who is a fan of Hunters/Jets thought the same thing!!! would have been nice to see the Vulcan fly over though……..
You fail to check their removal before Engine start / flight
Someones in for a talking to then 😮

I had the treat of watching a BBMF Spitfire do a small display over Northwich today from my front garden, which although nowhere near a known crash site, still moved me and hopefully many others at the event in the town…….a peacefull afternoon shattered by the sound of that single merlin…….superb!!! shame it couldnt have been another three roaring away…..
