An interesting article on the Royal Navy/Royal Air Force F-35B using the Rolling Vertical Landings on the new aircraft carriers.
Queen Elizabeth’s arrival date in Portsmouth has been set for a provisional August 17th according to BBC News.
Yes the PAK-DP, MiG are the chief designers for the future fighter-interceptor to replace the MiG-31 sometime in the 2020’s, although I have not heard anything about it recently regarding progress.
Hmm, Ark Royal 6. Eagle 2. I like that idea F/A-18RN.
I would definitely go with the Chinese YJ-12 without a doubt. Is the YJ-12 for export?
Saw it on the news this morning Queen Elizabeth cleared the Forth Rail Bridge with 3 inches to spare and that was with the mast down. 😮
The BBC has updated the article on the Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier, she has now left Rosyth Dockyard and is now waiting to go under the Forth Bridges very slowly and carefully with the mast being lowered.

As usual behind a paywall again. Damn. 😡
Anyway looking forward to the date when Queen Elizabeth sails from Rosyth.
Quite right! This remind’s me of the Stealthy Hornet that Boeing was trying push in the export market a couple of years ago. Though that had external weapons pods to try and hide the weapons, it is still not true Stealth.
A touchdown at supersonic speed? They should get their facts right! :highly_amused:
Hope the pilot was okay.
The Russians have got plenty time to let the technology mature before committing to designing and building PAK-DA.
