Interesting that this could be the awnser from LM to the OA-X competition.
What sort of speed would these helicopters have? I like the armed version as it could possibly replace the Apache when the time comes.
Gee, i am of course not aware of the original Su-35. (T-10M) /s
Again, Chinese Su-35S’ are just Su-35. They reused the designation.
The T-10M original Su-27M featured canards, the newer Su-35S does not have canards for some reason, anyone know why?
Just found this video on Lockheed Martins YouTube channel, featuring the T-50 T-X trainer prototype.
Just found this video on YouTube, I don’t know what you all think of it.
I think Hokum is one of the rare helicopters with ejection seats right?
Was that not one of the reasons that Kamov won the original contract back in the 1980’s? Back on topic, sad news that both pilots died.
Indeed, I always wondered, why the later serial version would have had a smaller number.
Anyway an impressive design … sad that it did not reach operational status.Deino
It is sad that the 1.42 did not reach operational status as I would think that it would have been stealthier than the current Sukhoi PAK-FA looking at both designs.
I could have seen the F-117C replacing the Jaguar in the RAF conventional strike roll in the mid to late 1980’s but obviously the power’s that be at that time chose against it for some reason.
I have seen that F-117A design in Bill Sweetman’s book Lockheed Stealth, it also featured afterburning engines instead of non-afterburning engines, quite why puzzles me to this day.
Makes you wonder had the X/F-32 ever entered service would it have ever been capable of doing the Harriers party trick of VIFF (Vectoring In Forward Flight)?
I would think that the FC-31 would make an excellent fleet defense fighter for the PLAN aircraft carriers should they ever go down that route given that the FC-31 has stealth and long range, plus the fact that it can carry six missiles in it’s internal weapon bays.
Thanks bring-it-on, I was focusing too much on the headline. :stupid:
Lockheed to miss F-35 production target by eight jets due to insulation fix
That’s bad news. Any idea when they might get production back on schedule?
Well who would have thought it, 128 Brigade getting the first J-20A. A brand new unit too, how many J-20As will they be getting?
Nice find Deino. I hope the FC-31 V2 maiden flight is soon too. 😎
