    At what point would someone think its a good idea to take their suitcase with them down an escape slide from a burning aircraft! common sense must be a thing of the past. And well done to all the flight crew.

    They apparently heard him loading a weapon in the toilet and tackeled him as he left it, that goes beyond mere bravery. Very well done to them and i hope they get rewarded for their actions.

    I’m probably going to get jumped on by both sides in this but here goes nothing! I was born and live in England and I have a hard time understanding the attitude the Americans have to firearms after all the shooting sprees etc that have happened. That being said I have a firearms licence and own seven firearms from .22 rimfire through .357 magnum and .303. I use them for target shooting and I enjoy that very much, but I never lose sight of how inherently dangerous they can be and always treat them with the greatest of respect, after all they are guns and need to be treated as such. Right I’m going to duck now!

    One thing I came across was that in preparation for an invasion of main land Japan the US army had half a million purple hearts made! As it never happened they are still using them to this day.
