u serious guys… man these Cambodians are poor… damn
even if they buy J-7Gs… they would still need Beijing to give em’ a good friendly loan?
far out man, might as ask China to give em’ for free.
WACHENR0DER,
canpark is right… China’s and Vietnam’s ministers shake hands as though they are very good friends… but deep in their minds the Chinese is thinking “fcukin Viet”, and the Viet is thinking “fcukin Chink”
and recently China has formally complained and protested against Vietnam sending its own tourists to Nansha Islands.
instead of buying the MiG-29, i think the Cambodians can buy some Chinese FC-1s (due to the good relationship between the two countries)
if they can not afford the FC-1, then the J-7G or the F-8IIM can be cheaper options for them.
don’t they fly Chinese planes?
I agree, the Su-30’s would compliment the current Su-27’s very well. But a rethink and restructure is definately in order for them. this is how I think it would be better for them:
Combat Element
1 Sqdn Su-30’s, Long range strike
1 Sqdn Su-27’s, Fighters
2 Sqdn’s of light fighters, say the FC-1, and about 50 of them
1 Sqdn of light strike planes, say either the K-8 or Mig AT, or even the Yak-130, about 20 of these.Training Element
1 Sqdn of advanced trainers, say K-8 or the likes, about 12 planes
1 Sqdn primary trainers, the PAC Super Mushtak might be the go here, and about 30 planes should suffice.
1 Sqdn of Light traing helo, fill me in on possibilitiesTransport Element
Drop all the An’s and get CN-235’s
Kill off the Yak-40’s and get say leased Challengers
Also I’d set about getting Mi-8/17’s in service
mate if u haven’t realised…. the relationship between China and Vietnam is getting worse over the Nansha Islands problem.
its unlikely that Vietnam will be buying Chinese FC-1s fighters and JL-8 trainers
but the J-10 uses the KLJ-3 radar, not Russian, and its missiles are PL-8, PL-9, SD-10, LS-500 LGBs, probably Kh-59M TV-guided missiles maybe integrated in future.
plus how many hard points does the Gripen have?
well thats good… orders for the FC-1:
– Pakistan (150)
– Zimbabwe (12)
– China (8)
– Iran (unspecified)
i think the article meant the first 6 jets to be delivered “next week” are K-8 trainers.
The Su-39 is an upgraded Su-25. It’s also known as Su-25TM. It’s predecessor design is the Su-25T, which Ethiopia apparently has.
thx mate for the info. i’m new here.
vikasrehman,
yeah what happened to the Pakistani Defence Forum??? i miss it… i’m Willz from there if u remember…
is there a such thing as Su-39? i thought there was only a Su-35/37 Super Flanker and S-37/Su-47 Berkut
