Many thanks for the info given by you both. It is of course Foynes with one S.

Great that we know the wording. Just holding out for a clear enough image. Keeping my fingers crossed Short Finals 😉

    Many thanks in advance

Many thanks for the adding some really useful information to the thread Mike.

If Moose was not re-painted for filming were the other Mustangs painted in the same RAF green and the grey as she was ? From all the pictures I have seen of the film Mustangs together there seems no difference in the colours of each airframe.

I’m also wondering if you know what the white text said on the lower part of the main undercarriage leg door ?

    Great pictures btw Sabrejet 🙂

Peter you are a star. Many thanks for those images it will allow us to finish the artwork on the decal sheet.

This is one design that has been floating around for a while now while other things jumped the line. A few revisions to do and then it’s off to the printers in all the major scales.

Can’t help but smile at the irony of the content on the page you have just linked.

The first story talks the about the possibility of imminent closure……..
………….the next story discusses the technicalities of life membership.

That’s what I though Daz. Although I have to say it was Missy Wong that I thought was the better looking aircraft.

Interesting link Michael. Maybe one day although lot’s of subjects that interest my personally I would like to do first. Never say never though.

Looking through their other auctions I wonder how they arrive at the start prices for their items.

    £1000 Lynx Cockpit section
£5000 for the Phantom Cockpit section

    Then……..

    £95,000 For a Hercules cockpit/forward fuselage

Many thanks for the pointers. I’ve seen and collected what seems like most of the pictures and thread links on the www. I don’t even want to think how many pictures of G-HAEC as BBD I have had to look at while seeking that elusive picture lol.

It literally is the flash on the wings that we now need confirming.

BTW I would be interested to know which airframe is the one that creates most interest ? Missy Wong From Hong Kong (as its a great scheme) or Tugboat because of the scene featured in the first image you linked ?

I always wondered that after seeing a picture of his fleet in the air together. The Hangar 11 website only says “led by Peter Teichman as chief pilot and a selected few of the finest and most experienced display pilots in the UK.”

No I saw it was on, but haven’t watched it yet.

I tried but the sound of the motors reminded me of watching radio control cars. For that reason I could never take it seriously and gave up.

As others have said a fantastic read. One of my most read books which is way out of proportion compared to my interest in the Blenheim as a type. Graham Warner doesn’t hold back in his opinions with regards to the crash of G-MKIV and who he blames or their previous failings at the helm.
