I have to say its a close run thing but his may just be………………………..:diablo:
Appreciate the help Ozplane. I need full access for scale detail and as you said is rather lofty in its location which rules that one.

Great day had by myself. Good to finally catch up with Twin Otter and put a face to a name. Also many thanks also to Anon for arranging access to his Phantom for a forthcoming project.
As others have said, I also bought some nice bits (thank you Air Ministry) and a great social event.
Roll on 2012

I have just acquired copyright to some images of a preserved Javelin cockpit and I “think” there is some images of the rear area.
Drop me a PM with your email address and I will have a look over the weekend for you.

It is a real shame that the purchase price is so stupidly high (and no doubt the work required to restore it isn’t quite as easy as declared in the advert) or I would ask who would be up for chipping in to acquire it and then find it a suitable home.
That really is something. Many thanks for sharing that link. Looking at the title of the link I don’t think I would have stumbled across that one 😉
Agreed about Legends. I would make a real effort to get there to see it fly.
Some good footage of Dan Griifith in TA805 here on You Tube.

I believe that they are the ex Source airframes. They have been around for a while now and listed on ebay a number of times.
I know a few years ago a number of museums received calls asking if they would like to have them on loan the proviso was that they were kept indoors.
I am sure between you all this base will have been covered but just in case.
Has the Museum Of British Road Transport in Coventry been approached. I spoke to their Curator of Vehicles a few months ago and discussed Shadow Factories and he said some point in the future they wished to do a display/exhibition on the subject. Maybe they have information in their achives ?
Many thanks for the link.
Loved the video of the Buchon and also the Rata.
Rather an enjoyable advert that looked expensive and well produced.
I found the ending of the advert amusing. Concorde speeding past all the other aircraft in the sky at a fair rate of knots including the presently in service Boeing 747.
Showing that since Concorde’s retirement in 2003 the airline and passenger air travel has indeed gone backwards :diablo:
Progress eh……………
I am sure that is about the third or more time that Canberra has been listed.
