Globespan were never going to YYZ anyway, they were going to Hamilton because YYZ’s landing fees are so high i guess

So why is it letting me book MAN-YYZ-MAN on GSM101/102?

It went via Keflavik, after the 767 having a problem at LPL with a slide being deployed.

    It’s mentioned here

If you use the theory that an airport should be named after the city it is nearest to then BFS should rename itself Lisburn International – Lisburn had city status conferred on it last year and is much closer to BFS than Belfast is!

Not a lot between them I’m afraid, straight line distance in Google Earth from each city centre to the reference point for the aerodrome, there isn’t even a mile between them.

Type in Lisburn-Belfast International and Belfast-Belfast International to the RAC Route Planner. It gives a 18.6mile (estimated 24min) from Belfast, and 18.4mile (28min) journey from Lisburn. Again, hardly ‘much closer.’

Being serious, I respect your views but all we EVER seem to hear is anti-BFS.

The most chilling recording I’ve heard was from the World Airways DC-10 that crashed in Mexico City in the late 70s. You heard the thud of landing, a scream of surprise from the Captain at seeing construction equipment on the runway, a lot of rattling and finaly blood curdling screams of terror as the co-pilot realises they’re headed for the airport terminal at over 80 knots. Then nothing…..chilling!

I haven’t listened to another recording since hearing that one.

You seem to be forgetting the fact that the pilots would have a high workload during a go-around, their concentration would be on flying rather than discussing the details of the go-around with ATC.

Shame it wasn’t next week, I could have popped up and taken a few shots of LSAB with yourself onboard.

Anyway, enjoy your time in TFS.

Gosh, what another great thread from ALL My Contributions r Crap.

Your whole anti-BFS and any airline to do with it campaign has become very tiresome. Give it a rest!

    why though
    BA is crap

Because they won’t start longhaul from MAN? In that case, nearly every airline in the world is crap, gosh, what a crap world.

Pretty low, it’s already filed as an A321. It could change, but unlikely I think.

It’s an A321, regular. They also used the A300 each week on flights over the summer to Dalaman or Bodrum.

At 2120, not going to see particularly much, t’is rather dark these nights at that hour 🙁

Be interesting to see where Jet2 get more 757s, there is to be one based at BFS next summer along with BLK and NCL, provided they get them.

Very nice, I saw G-LASB earlier today departing BFS to TFS, ooo how I wish I was heading for sunnier climates!
