    Buy the SBS-1 for £500 🙂

Ah but all aircraft aren’t Mode S yet and SBS uses Mode S?

On 19/20th May I think, it was a B738 though I’m sure lukeylad can confirm when you give him the date.

Someone tried booking BHD-BRS for winter not so long ago and was told it was being dropped, for winter at least.

I read elsewhere it was something to do with the Dash8 was BHD based, operated to BRS and then BRS-two other destinations depending on the day of the week. It then returned to BRS and operated the BRS-BHD service. The two desintations aren’t in the winter BRS schedule and so the BHD-BRS has been dropped, for winter at least I believe.

    I think anyway.

wow!! lucky there were not injurys.

There were a number of injuries, the DC9 captain was ‘seriously injured,’ the first officer ‘injured’ and some of the cabin crew also ‘injured.’

    Edit:
Recorded by a security camera, which maybe only takes an image every second or half second? Perhaps the media have speeded it up so it runs a little more smoothly and in turn making the whole thing seem to happen quicker?

Charts for UK can be found on http://www.ais.org.uk Requires registration but it’s free, then a maze to navigate to the AIP section.

It is a steep learning curve but lots of fun when you get the hang of it.

I think Heathrow might hold that title, 09L/27R is 3901m.

    Boscombe Down’s longest is 3101m

Fairford isn’t all that long in comparision to Heathrow, at 3046m which is similar to Manchester and still 600m shorter than Heathrow’s 09R/27L at 3660m.

    Maston is 2752m, Prestwick 2987m, Aldergrove 2780m, Cambletown 3049m.

Figures might be out a bit.

I have read that it has some structural issues, another that it is just taking longer than expected and is going for refit, although being broken up is probably taking it a tad extreme :S Where did you hear this Tommy?

Every approach is a set up to a go-around, only convert it to a landing at the last minute 😀 I always liked looking at it like that.

48 hours, makes this week’s MYT delays on the Mon/Tue/Wed BFS- Montego Bay, Puerto Plata and Cancun respectively, seem miniscule!
