Great pictures! Best of luck with the new business.
Why did someone rank this as “Terrible” with 1 Star? Someone’s becoming quite annoying with their continuous 1 Star rankings of just about everything that shows up in this forum.
Ssssh! We’re ignoring them in the hope that they go away and we get the last laugh at pathetic lowlife getting a kick out of it.
It is fun, came across it last week.
Got me thinking, how long before we have the same thing only live images? 😀
I’d love to see some shots taken by a US Mil satellite, wonder if it can read a car’s tax disc?

That would help explain why there was more than 7 leaders standing behind him during his midday speech.
Nice shots though I’d have swopped with Allen 😀 Where do you go when your lonely, where do you go when the stars go blue 😀
Bristol is 2011m long, LBA is 2250m. Has Bristol not had its odd share of trans-atlantics other than CO?
I think I recently saw a picture of a BY 767 departing BOH for the Caribbean, which is 2271m long.
Does that mean we’ll have a MON A330 stopping in BFS during the winter months too, Tom?
Unless you really do get some strong headwinds across the pond, I don’t think you should have any worry in a 757 making it across, then you have a choice of fields down the east coast of Canada.
Actually, a nautical mile is more than a ‘normal’ mile. 1nm = about 1.15 (or is it 1.1515) miles.
An extra 2hours to cross the Atlantic is a lot :S, but surely they would have at the least, planned for a rather strong headwind from the forecasts and been able to stop into Gander, Halifax, St.Johns…
Distance between the two will depend on what route you plan and which one you actually get across the Atlantic. Not everyones’ FMC will be reading the DTG as 4204nm 😀
David Evans….aka The Edge, especially in Miracle Drug around 3mins in.

Nice shots as always. Are ones down the runway @ 300mm?
Matthew, I think your flying EDI-DUB? Could be wrong there lol, but friend flew EDI-DUB-EDI last weekend and got -200 each way.
Something to do with its location near the top of the globe?
Great shots, who wants to organise the ANC Meet 2006?
Greys’ Inglish iz gettin betta evry day 😀
Go to Duxford, pay £12 and get to see Concorde, Trident, VC10, B52, Vulcan, 1-11, U2, DC3, Spitfires, Harrier, Jaguar….:P
Be careful along that road, especially walking back to the terminal. The footpath is that narrow and being honest, I never heard the buses coming half the time!
I did it in low light during a February morning and evening, not to be repeated especially by the faint hearted and passing the grave. Stick close to the hedge/fence/ and watch the traffic. Once you get to the road running parrallel to 28/10, stick near the fence. Crossing the road at the layby can be an adventure in itself.
If they’re using 10 and you fancy seeing them touch down, keep walking along that road, around the left hand bend and past the building with choppers on the right. When you come to the traffic lights, turn right, you should be able to see the airport fence. Walk around that and there is another long mound just before the entrance to the carpark. Again, be careful especially around that corner.
Nice shots,
I was at the layby for an hour or so yesterday between 1230-130, had some time to kill before a certain fantastic concert on a Beautiful Day;)
