AFAIK the struck 757 is G-BYAS, not BYAW and after a quick engine change G-BYAW was back in normal service after the bird incident.
The 737 that returned departed again an hour later.
Cool shots, wanted to head up to BFS as the Zoom 757 routed YYZ-BFS-GLA-BFS-YYZ today, wondered what scheme it would be in.
Also had one of MyTravel’s A330s position GLA-BFS to operate to FAO, beats the usual Sunday traffic, especially after the winter season!
The YHM flights weren’t their only problem yesterday. From what I heard, the 767 operating for AIC went tech atLHR, the outbound YYC or YVR was heavily delayed too.
It was a bit chaotic, and can’t all be blamed on the media or weather.
Latest 737-700 was delivered to Glasgow a few days ago coming from BFI non-stop.
They are also doing a rotation from Dundee to Belfast between the two daily BHX rotations, but haven’t specifed BHD or BFS in the other news article
Continental use 757s to other European destinations that are further than BFS. Geneva, Barcelona and Olso, but their 757s aren’t crammed with 220+ seats. They can operate to New York fairly comfortable 99% of the time.
I’ve no memory of FCA using an A321 on SFB services from anywhere in the UK, especially regularly. 757s yes, but A321s no. Most of bmi’s ‘own’ A321 fleet has been returned to lessor, I think there is only 2 or 3 left if even that.
Will an A321 operating at MTOW (performance issues out of LBA?) heading West be able to make New York everyday of the year, including during strong headwinds? I doubt it. I’m not too familar on A321 performance, but if it can do this, why is no one else using it on Trans-atlantic routes? Both the A320 and A319 have longer ranges than the A321, the relevance being that just because ther are (or should that be there is) A319 service(s) across the pond doesn’t mean an A321 can do it.
A LBA-NYC service wouldn’t be a great shock.
By bmi, it’d be slightly surprising.
By bmi, using A321s, highly unlikey.
Very nice shots! I know the IL76 came from Vienna but unsure where it departed to, and the LCF to PAE. Is this one in normal service with EIA, just noticed it still using a BOE callsign?
FCA28 routes Bristol-Manchester-Puerto Plata.
Departs at 8am to Manchester and then onwards to Puerto Plata, and is a 763.
UNLESS…something goes horribly wrong in the next 8hours with the 767 or one of the spares:D
An slightly older source of info, however I will check as soon as I can on a Wednesday and see for you.
A B752.
Dunsfold.
Who thinks Virgin would have done the same had it been BA included?
Delta edited a film so that every time the word ‘God’ was said, it was beeped out.
Welcome to the modern world:rolleyes:
Sorry I missed it, but last known heading for Rovaniemi EFRO at FL370.
P4MES flew in from Luton, but not sure when it is due out again. If I find out, I’ll let you know.
Really cool shots Si, I love the backdrop with the coast in some of them!
Thanks for the nice comments guys. I like the close up nose shots aswell, some turned out better than others. The Qatar is great looking, helped by spotless appearance, just like the Ethiad.
It makes the Delta 767 look rather tired, I’m not even sure if it’s suppose to be white :diablo:
