” If anyone had been in the car or walking near it at the time then they would have been killed“
So why didn’t it kill the bomber then?
Backdoor:Win32/Caphaw.AD perhaps? I scanned my PC this morning and found it….also something to do with Java?
I would swap the CDs and a book for one years supply of food, or a Swedish blonde š
I would like to see every member of parliament live on what the average worker takes home, for at least a year. Get them off their two houses, two cars, fat bank accounts, take away the companies giving them money, take away the expense accounts and all the other secret hidden earners they have. We would then see exactly how quickly the situation would change once they realize how poor everyone else is. Basically they really need to get out of their ivory towers, every one of them!!
Also the general population need to stop believing what they are told, 90% of it is complete and utter crap!!
Thank you all for the very kind comments, they all mean a huge amount to me. Thank you also for letting me vent my feelings onto this forum it has helped me start my grieving process a huge amount. On another note, I have no idea how to mount her medals correctly with out ruining them, any ideas?
RIP Squadron Commander the Lord Flashheart…….”Treat your kite like you treat your woman… get inside her five times a day, take her to heaven and back.”
hahahaha well (most) men spend their entire lives trying to get back in the womb…..
A quick google search will bring up a pic or two of it
Its about time the value of these aircraft went up. Not to long ago a complete Lightning could be purchased for less than the scrap value. Now however with prices going up the scrap man wont (perhaps) be so keen, so more should be saved…..hopefully!
I wonder what the numbers are for fatalities and injuries for spectators who actually payed at air shows and were safely behind the safety line ,
More than has been hit outside I bet, Ramstein, Ukraine, Reno, Farnborough. Its like any motor sport, the chance of something going wrong is always there. Just because there is a so called safety barrier, orange jacket or whatever it does not stop something going wrong. The only way to keep people safe at any airshow or for that matter anything with fast moving chunks of metal is to not have them in the first place…..
This is a pic of the F-16 in the video, as can be seen its lower than it should be, but its not as low as its arrival on Wednesday afternoon. On that arrival it missed the fence by what seemed a few inches (no pics of that landing it really was to low!!)

ahhhhhhh and before anyone thinks or says it I’m not a freeloader….I paid to go in the car park Thursday, Friday and Monday…..Wednesday was free anyway….
Bit of an update, I have e-mailed the Wilson County news editor in Texas, this is the reply I received back:- “What fascinating information you have uncovered! I’ll check w/ the local historical society to see if we can discover anything about S/SGT Wright … There are a lot of Wrights around here, but I’ve never heard the name Aaron. Will get back to you.” Hopefully something will turn up.
*update*
Things have now moved to a conclusion, a couple of friends have pieced together enough info for for me to get a big enough picture about Aaron, heres what I have just sent back to Wilson County News:-
“It would appear that not everything is as it seems in these letters, I have found out that Aaron was a tail gunner with the 613 BS and was involved in at least one accident while over here, the details of which are:-
S/SGT Aaron J Wright, of 614BS/401BG, tail gunner on B-17 42-97395 (named “Chute the works”, 111 missions recorded), crashed 25/Mar/45 near RAF Saltby flown by 2nd Lt D H Stauffer after getting into difficulties on return from formation for an aborted mission that day. The crew successfully abandoned the aircraft uninjured, bar one member who broke an ankle on landing.
It also appears that Aaron was married to Rosemary on the 30th December 1941 (possibly days before he left for Europe). My information about his service career is sketchy at best, but I believe he returned to the USA sometime in June or July 1945. Which would explain why the letters stopped and the one for Aaron was returned. Its fairly evident that my nan did not know Aaron was married, but wars hell, right?
Anyway as it turns out Aaron passed away in 2006 he is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Floresville. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=80839696 From the photo it would seem that Rosemary (when the photo was taken) is still alive. Iām not so convinced she would like a letter from an old girlfriend of Aarons from 70 years ago! or would she?”
Thank You that is a great help, I have been leafing through some letters and have come across a few from Aaron to my nan, I have also found one from my nan to Aaron that was returned to sender.
