I found this in among some DVDs which I thought I had sold/given away etc, so popped it in for a spin.

Fan. Tastic. This really is a great little horror film. It’s as much about the horrors that mankind commits upon others when fear takes hold, as it is the creatures that inhabit the mist outside the doors of the supermarket where a group of townsfolk have holed up after a mysterious storm.

I remember reading the novella some years ago, and thought it was excellent, and that someone really should make a film of it. Perhaps Frank Darabont had been reading my mind?!

Great film but the ending choked me!

    Alien
Wonderfully dark and atmospheric. The only time the film dates is when they access a computer-typical 1979 intellivision-era sounds and clunkiness. They should have just used a portal with voice like 2001 (interesting that the main computer is called Mother)

    Vertigo by Bob Shaw.
In the future personal air travel is common place, rendering travel by plane financially unviable. Rob Hasson is part of the Sky Police but is suffering from Vertigo after an accidnt and so is grounded. However following certain incidents he is forced back into service and so must overcome his phobia!

I treated myself to this on blu-ray , I like it, its loud and great fun. It lacks some of the panto’ like charm of the old series, and Hannibal isn’t as smug, but its fun if only to see Murdoch try and jump start an ambulance…. with a Defibrillator:eek:

You mean you actually bought this?! Jeez the TV series was bad enough 😉
