Well yesterday we watched Bee Movie. It was meant for matthew to watch but to be honest these films are too good for just kids. Absolutely brilliant with lots of adult humour, not naughty just stuff that kids won’t get. And of course there’s flying in it,including a bed powered 747!

That sounds fun spike! I’d like to get my kids to Sunderland airshow sometime,i reckon matthew would love it when he’s older(he’s only 2 at the moment and loves cars, anything with wheels on)

Fantastic,I want one! Actually to be honest I wouldn’t have the guts to fly it,not even been in a plane, but that does look fun!

Was just wondering what radio band one uses to listen to airplane transmissions. I’m presuming its perfectly legal.

I too get Top Gear mag now and then, even tho I can’t drive a car. Also sometimes get BBCWildlife mag,Countryfile,Dogs Today and used to subscribe to Acoustic magazine, the only mag for acoustic guitar.

Well all magazines are niche products really, but Flypast looks to be the best one. I just have so many hobbies and I have to try to juggle them all and decide which mag to get. Another one I’ve had is Airplane i think its called but its more technical and most of it goes over my head.

I seem to remember Commander Straker (of Moonbase Alpha) emerging from a Jetstream ‘C10A’ at Radlett during an episode of ‘UFO’.

I’am rather anoyed that I can remember that.

I’m quite the SF fan but I never saw UFO. Probably a good thing…;)

I’m sure my mum told me of a story how years ago a film with Kenneth Conor was partially filmed near our house, obviously before I was born. She lived in wolverhampton and there was an airtstrip there, and the villagers were used as extras. Also there was a factory nearby that was called Dowty I think(now BP) that was set up for the production of certain Spitfire and Hurricane parts.

Ooh, to pick one….well, probably something like a Spitfire.
Bear in mind I’ve never yet been in an airplane so it might scare the willies out of me!
