For those who read Flypast, there is a competition to win copies of Into the Wind on page 98 in the product reviews section. Good luck!

Interview about Into the Wind on BBC radio lincs. At 10.05, just after Chris de Burgh by the sounds of it!
………….. slowly; and the colour scheme is going to be LTF camouflage!
A photograph from a couple of weeks ago can be found in the XS417 album in the Photo Gallery on the museum website!
As for “Winds Of Change” – why not feature it Steve? I understand from the Shop Manager that a couple of copies have already been sold!! 🙂
Glad to see it, looking forward to hearing people’s feedback. Great of NAM to stock it! Are you coming along to the AHL event in a couple of weeks?
A couple of news updates have been added to the News Page on the NAM website!
Didn’t expect to be the subject of an NAM news article!
Hope it goes down well.
Ive been thinking about that quite a bit. Watch this space.
I’m still interviewing veterans with this intention. Publishing is a completely new area to me so Ill have to see how feasible it is but there is so much material that it would be a shame for it not to see the light of day.
So many stories we recorded haven’t found a spot in the film simply due to the running time so it would be great for them to see the light of day.
What kind of stories would people like to hear? What kind of questions would you like to see answered? It would be very interesting to see what people would like to see in such a book.
best wishes
Steve
Thank you,
Still working on the project – making a few extra short films etc for the DVD release later in the year. We shot over 150 hours over 4 years so there are still tons of individual stories waiting to be told.
If anyone has questions about the film, filmmaking process etc I’m happy to chat about it.
My second documentary ( Heilig ) will also screen at the Branchage Film Festival on Jersey in September ( see http://www.heilig.co.uk ). The film tells the story of a Jewish Kindertransport refugee who made it to the UK from Vienna in 1938. Although this part of the story is not the focus of the film, he went on to join the RAF and fly as a wireless operator with Bomber Command. An incredible story. Trailer can be seen here… http://vimeo.com/22562442

Spitfires and solitary Hurricane
A question for those who have used the shuttle bus to the station at Cambridge.
Could anyone who has left immediately after the final display give me an idea of the kind of time to expect getting back to the station.
Horrendous queues, an hour, two hours?
best wishes
Steve
They would be welcome to have a chat with me if they wish but i’m sure the production company has a clear direction of how they want to tell the story of Bomber Command and best of luck to them.
I look forward to seeing the results. I shall also keep you posted on release dates for my own film which will be confirmed soon 🙂

Lovely to see Mr. Wallis looking so well.
Yes, he is a wonder. 95 I think this year and still flying. When the film is released i will be collecting some of the material into a short film devoted entirely to Ken which will be on the DVD release and possibly put out for free to enjoy on the web.
best wishes
