I imagine they will already be exploiting existing ports to their full extent, but are also looking at new overflow ports. I think the issue is not getting the ships in or shipping stuff, since the same(ish) volume will be flowing, the issue is the execution of the new customs process.

Wow, it seems almost like the BBC has bought shares in a rival port operator, or is against Brexit. I assume there is a contract and that contract will stipulate penalties if they are not ready. And since when does a councillor know about the capabilities of a private business?

The fact is they need more capacity. If you know of an alternative, let’s here about it.

Not really, some of them are terrible and you’d be surprised how common copy and paste laziness is throughout the business world. Nobody is going to do a job that’s already been done again. Did they see an opportunity coming or was it corruption? Who knows? Did the private firms taking large shares of the NHS under Blair see an opportunity coming or was it corruption? What about the firms benefiting from cheap labour as a result of the EU expansion? An opportunity seen or corruption? Research backed by EU funding, genuine research or corruption? Alex Salmond hosting a talk show on Russia Today, an opportunity taken or evidence that the SNP are a Russian plot to divide the UK?

Based on what we know of the F-22/F-35, it works over a range of frequencies and definitely in the X-Band.

You are aware that most rail transport companies don’t own any trains either, they’re leased.

Is Avangard actually a powered glider, or just a glider?

XB-70 – That seems at odds with the fact that they use DRFM (Digital Radio Frequency Memory) to copy the threat transmission first. That’s clearly about way more than just denying parts of the spectrum or exploiting side lobes. If you’ve copied the strength and frequency of the transmission, there’s nothing to stop you just playing it back 180deg out of phase surely.

I thought most modern jamming systems did that.

Is there a difference between active stealth and ordinary suppression jamming?

Anyone notice the lack of front stabilisers on these missiles vs 9M96E2?

I remember when the plan was to replace all F-15 C/Ds with F-22s. Then they got complacent and then they piddled away the rest of the money fighting over sand.

Unless the AESA had some drawbacks, if it was fitted you would keep it in place rather than swapping back to the PESA.
