If there was somebody responsible for starting the fire, it might be.

How does a forest fire start in November anyway?

Agent K – I’m well aware of it. My mum is from Armagh and we used to visit every summer during the late ’70s and ’80s when I was young.

We deal with savagery every year thanks to our Islamist friends anyway. The IRA would barely even be noticed by today’s standards.

John – I’m frankly not bothered about NI, it has been the tail wagging the dog throughout these negotiations. It’s not more than the sum of its parts at all. It’s a very small country with a trivial GDP and a relatively large deficit. I would hard Brexit and literally ignore the border and leave it to the EU to quibble with ROI over.

He didn’t really make the decisions himself though, he was simply a two-way messenger, much like Barnier.

Well I think most people will agree that the deal currently being constructed is a big POS and hopefully it will be voted down by parliament. It’s a desperate attempt to protect the status quo that people voted to get rid of, rather than putting in the required effort to do something different. Frankly far too much emphasis has been placed on NI. It has a population of about 1.5m, a GDP of <£40bn and a £9bn deficit. Frankly, whilst it needs some consideration, it should be at the very bottom of the list of priorities. And if that means a hard border in Ireland, who cares, let the EU enforce it and pay for it.

Either a no deal or even remaining would be better than this great big POS.

History does not tell us that at all, that’s simply a perverse interpretation of history. It’s like saying that socialism is inextricably linked to Stalin, Mao, Le Duan, Kim family and Pol Pot’s genocides. Socialism is not Communism and Nationalism is not Fascism. Let’s not forget also that the Nazi party was the National Socialist Party, so why do we never link Socialism with Hitler or Fascism?

Same way you design a database without data.

bring_it_on – I am very aware of that but it is nothing special. Rolls-Royce have a similar arrangement, even MBDA in Europe have a similar arrangement for NatSec between owner countries.

There aren’t any nukes being sold with the jets to Canada though, so any nuke systems could be simply be omitted from the aircraft. It would then be like they never existed.

So what are you saying, the Canadians invited you to tender but wouldn’t give you access to the necessary data? Okay, so allow them to configure the cryptography on the aircraft. Isn’t there a branch of Dassault in Canada or the US that can do it? How is this any different to BAE doing the EW on the F-35? They just use a US branch.

Yeah, cryptography is software, software and even electronics is easily adapted.

That seems like a non-answer. I’m sure lots of people are confused about why the aircraft can be sold to Qatar and India but not Canada. AFAIK, NORAD is the basically a command centre linked to a series of radars like BMEWS, Cobra Dane, PARCS, PAVE PAWS and the NWS.
