Hand, I’ve heard Joe Theisman say that on a commercial before, but what does it mean?
I’ve been in a Learjet 35, but not during flight.
So is it better to have engine exclusivity as long as they are Trents, a la the A340-500/600, and not GE’s?
United can’t fly YYZ-NRT non-stop by routing laws, I would think. There would have to be a connection in ORD, SFO, or LAX.
What a bargain at $82.5 million per copy. I had no idea that UA had parked so many 744’s. Glad to see one member of Star helping another generate some much needed cashflow. You’ll know right away in Thai colours which are the ex UA examples. Those will have Pratt’s whereas Thai’s original deliveries have GE’s.
So Juve beat Real today, then, wow!
That’s right. I think there was an ariticle in one of the magazines on it lately, which is where I’ve seen a picture of that tower.
Why did it crash? Looks like it survived it pretty well.
I like the LH ones. Which airport is this? That old tower looks familiar.
I love trijets in general, but the L1011 is my favourite aircraft of all-time. I posted this pic a few threads ago, but I’ll post it again.
Not as fat? Well, they do have the same fuselage cross section, and yes, the MD-11 is in fact longer than the DC-10. The winglets are very visible, and to anyone who has X-Ray vision a la superman, can peek inside the flight deck to see the 3rd crew member. For those of us that have normal vision, that’s a little impossible. So no, I won’t be looking for the 3rd crew member any time soon in order to distinguish between the 2.
I’m only going to fly on Slut airlines, if the flight attendants fall under the creteria, but they have to be as good looking as the Virgins!
Nice! Was it UA905 on the outbound, by any chance? Also, was it a 777 or a 763? I’m glad to see that United is getting some love by someone (2 members no less!) other than me.
That was about 2 weeks prior to them canceling that route. In that case, wysiwyg, do the flight crew notify the passengers of the engine shutdown, or do they just go about as planned and divert?
Looks like they’re offering biplane rides on that 757. Those canards, theoretically, act as the upper wing, hence the biplane designation.
