RE: Excess Baggage
I’m guessing the 757 blew, but the L1011 swallowed.

RE: Worst C/S
Yeah they changed it, the people were outraged, and brought the “temple” scheme right back in no time!

RE: Sweets on take-off – a thing of the past?
I’ve received Godiva chocolates after dinner on United on 2 or 3 occassions, out of several hudred trips with them. This was howwever, pre-9/11.

RE: Worst C/S
I don’t mind the “Euro-white” trend, as long as the titling and the tail colors are good. I disagree on the anti-LH sentiments. Their titles are very bold, and their tail is classic. The grey belly and cowlings compliment the white very nicely. JAL is very similar. Classic crane on the tail, and the subtle little stip with the “JAL” is nice. The ugliest in my opinion is Southwest’s old scheme. Thank God they changed to primarily royal blue, as that old brown looked like sewage water. Considering SW is the primary player at my 2 home airports(ONT/LAX), change was definitely for the better.

RE: Best looking aircraft and livery?
So I don’t have to contact the photographer before I post a pic then? Sorry if I’m being anal about this, I just don’t want to get in trouble.

RE: Best looking aircraft and livery?
Can I just link to a photo from airliners.net? How does that work? I was just there and they have certain copywright laws. I notice most of the pictures some of you post on here are from that site. What do you guys do?

RE: Unusual way to land a 747
Forget it, I found it. Actually, the pic that Dazza posted here is an AirChina Cargo 747-200F. The ‘series’ that you referred to where it shows the 4 pictures and the full recovery is of an NCA 747-200F. Very similar in the initial photo right at touchdown, but you can tell the difference if you look at both of them.

RE: Unusual way to land a 747
Which categorie on Airliners.net do I go in order to fine these? Is there a link, perhaps?

RE: Airport picture of the day
Yeah, 11 Korean and a token Asiana!

RE: Unusual way to land a 747
Did this aircraft make a full recovery for a normal landing? Or is this that China Airlines 747-400 that wound up floating in Kowloon bay where they had to blow the tailfin off as to not obstruct traffic? There does not appear to be any winglets on this thing, unless they are just not visible.

RE: So… the ERJ-170… how does it look?
Right Kabir, I’m not arguing with that. I’m just saying that they should have been designed with putting the engines in the back, in mind. But then, I’m not an engineer, what do I know! I just like the way RJ’s look, much better, when they have tail mounted engines. The look more “RJ-esque.” Or, if they have wing mounted engines, for the wings to be mounted on top the fuselage a la the Bae 146 and the Do 328/428Jet.

EVEN BETTER!
RE: Belgian Pic of the Week
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-05-02 AT 04:13 PM (GMT)]The bottom link does not work. The top link goes to a forum page with a small 737-500 pic on there.

RE: So… the ERJ-170… how does it look?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-05-02 AT 04:04 PM (GMT)]The engines do look small, but if they were mounted on the fuselage in the rear, they would look normal. I think it looks too much like a ‘jet’ and not enough like a ‘regional jet.’ I also feel the same way about the Dornier 528/728/928Jets. Keep the engines in the back, and the fuselage lower to the ground for easy access!
