I can accept being beaten by a better team. Today, they were not the best team. i.e Who were the team who tried hardest? England.

That being said, Portugal, as a whole, has played much better this world cup than England has. I kept waiting for England to wake up, and they never did. Tell me 1 game out of the 5 they played where they actually played well?

Ok, that’s what I figured. T9 is AA’s terminal, right? I just figured that out by the flights in your signature. It’s not really surprising that they didn’t have food in there. Having access to the lounges for the better part of 5 years due to my Star Alliance Gold status, our domestic carriers have really nice facilities in US airports, but leave a lot to be desired in terms of amenities. There’s a huge difference between UA’s lounge in LHR and SYD, compared to their lounges in their 5 hub cities over here. Again, the lounge itself is really nice, but you have to pay for alcoholic drinks, no food, etc. That’s not the case overseas. Conversely, foreign carriers have really nice lounges stateside, in terms of food, drink, etc. Swiss even has showers in their lounge at JFK, along with hot food on catering trays.

BA doesn’t share terminal 7 at JFK with United anymore?

Do those old 757’s with the engines that resembled Tristar engines, still have those or were they updated with the Rollers that most 757’s have nowadays?

Airliners.net forums, do a search you will find it.

Yeah, and in typical Airliners.net fashion, people jumped down your throat for essentially posting a rumor with no source of verification.

What exactly is the 747-400LCF? It has a different cross-section than all other 747’s?

If they do, nobody has a photo of it on a.net as of yet. Those are relatively new types for them, so they might not have been scheduled for heavy maintainance since the new livery was introduced, and therefore have not needed a new paint job.

If they’re going to stretch the thing, why not make it more worthwhile than just adding 4 rows of economy on the lower deck and 1 row of business or 2 economy on the upper? Not to mention the freighter version is longer than the pax version.

So US only use ex-ATA 757’s that are ETOPS certified,do the original US 757’s all have rolls royce engines?

Yes, they do. However, I don’t know that they are certified to fly trans-Atlantic, hence, the acquisition of the former ATA aircraft.

The North/South runway is only good for a flight or 2 every hour on normal ops. Mainly they use the parallel East/West runways. Personally, I have never seen an approach from the South, but I have seen the rare takeoff from the North. Expect mostly narrawbodies at McCarran.

Surely we can’t expect airlines to have a flight almost sold out a few days prior to departure. :diablo: What is this madness? 😮
