Why? Aren’t they faithful to Airbus?!

Not 100% faithful, as they operate a sizeable Boeing flleet, to go with having operating every airbus type to date.

But isnt there huge construction work going on in DXB at the minute. I remember news of some workers being killed there. I dont think DXB is as slot restricted as some airports but perhaps they are planning for the future??? And it must be a BIG future.

Dubai is desparately building up their tourist industry for 20 years down the line when they run out of oil. Hence these projects with the man-made islands of the world and the palm trees. Two airports would cater for this tourist industry very nicely.

France, as in the country, or as in the airline? If you’re talking about Air France, they surely wouldn’t dump their 744’s, 744ERF’s, 772, and 773ER’s, not to mention their sizeable 737 fleet!

Airlinerworld is really expensive here in the States. I generally enjoy the content, however, although I haven’t been a subscriber in years. I pick up a copy from the newstand on ad hoc occassions.
