Why don’t we extend this concept to carriers worldwide, like Pan Am for instance. Financial struggles aside, let’s assume PA were able to overcome most of the obstacles that troubled it back in the day, but weren’t necessarily immune to the mess that UA, DL, AA, etc. are currently dealing with. By virtue that PA was the launch customer for the 707 and 747, if they were still around today, I think it would be safe to say they’d have a fleet consisting of 737NG’s, 757’s, 744’s, and 777’s. Perhaps they could have been launch customers, along with UA, for the trip-7 given their long tradition with Boeing. One can only dream.

Thanks for the info, gentlemen. I was pretty close with my initial assertion. Good to see you back in the mix, Bhoy.

QF has had a long relationship with the 747, and with Boeing long-haul aircraft in general. I can see them being a potential launch customer for the pax 748, along with BA. I don’t see why an airline like QF, with an extensive global network, can’t operate both the 748 and the A380.

Yeah, our freeways in Southern Cali are rather wide. 🙂 I can look at Sam Chui’s photos all day.

It seems to be split between the A320 and the A319 on this route. However, throughout the summer, depending on the day, a 733 is mixed in on one of the 3 dailies rather often.

What’s the story on the Thomson 762 with 2 overwing exits as opposed to the usual 1?

Hmm, does meticulously checking your boarding card and passport are still in your bag/pocket every 5 minutes count?

Come to think of that, I do that too!

Any idea when it is coming to LAX? They are modifying a single gate on the south side of the Bradley terminal, as we speak, in order to accommodate it.

I walked right by Snoop Dog and his homies last September in a sporting goods store. He was only rolling 3 deep that day. He doesn’t live too far from me. How does he not have a private jet with all that money?
