They no longer serve Geneva and Basle – LHR, switched those flights to LCY
It must be the ZRH-LHR flights then. I read it somewhere. These flights had something to do with their breakup with BA.

I think a key to this deal was the amount of flights between Geneva/Zurich etc. and Heathrow. The long-haul routes weren’t a major factor here, even though Swiss’ long-haul product might be a little better than Lufthansa’s.

Just out of curiosity, what was done to clean up the GD forum? Were certain members 86ed?

The only problem with the red engines is that there is no way to distinguish between the standard 744 with GE’s and 744ER. Currently, the 744ER have white cowlings to distinguish themselves with all other models having the grey cowlings. I’m sure you can come up with a way to distinguish those, however. Are you able to reproduce Wunala and Nalanji dreaming on your templates, Sandy? If so, how about a 744ER in Nalanji colours?

It’s very distinguishable in an all white (snow) backdrop.

There has to be a reason why so few use them 😉
Indeed, it’s called politics. 😀

This is all fascinating, Sandy, although I will never partake. I don’t have the patience. There is one statement that was unacceptable, however.
I’m not illustrating the P&W engines as its not worth the hassle for an engine only the weakminded (UA for example) use.
How dare you!! 😮

They tried that already 🙂
Didn’t go down to well, Pilots called it SpiegelEi which translates into Fried Egg
Are you referring to the Condor scheme that had yellow bellies? I liked their scheme better with the grey bellies and cowlings. They have enough yellow with the tail being all yellow.
