Are those Lauda 737’s charter flights?
This is good news. I hope everything works out. Are fuel prices going to drop anytime soon? They’re killing every airline in the U.S. except Southwest, it seems.

I don’t know too much about the particulars, but it does “Take 2 to Tango,” in my opinion. It does seem like BA, and OneWorld at large, benefits the most from the whole thing.

I was unaware of any CO routes to Mexico from LAX, which doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I know Mexicana, AeroMexico, AeroCalifornia, and Alaska all have several Mexican destinations/frequencies from LAX. The Mexican destinations are lucrative from LAX, given the huge number of Mexicans in the greater L.A. area.

CO pretty much only serves their hub cities, which are EWR, IAH, and CLE. They also serve HNL nonstop. I’m pretty sure those are their only 4 non-stop destinations from LAX.

For DL the 764 was the perfect replacement for the Tristar in terms of capacity, range, etc.; and for CO it replaced the DC10’s. Both airlines use them exclusively for their Hawaii runs, amongst others. I’m sure if UA had a little more cash, they would order some for those routes, as well. They are perfect for that market.

Great photos Peter. So are you working at Schiphol full-time now? By the way, what is DSLR?
