I didnot claim they are going to buy it. I posted because GA claimed H.khan liar for Rafale evaluation issue.
he said that the great H. Khan was pulling stuff out of his posterior not on the Rafale, but on the other long list.
PAF has embarked on advance training courses on all active and inactive pilots of F-16s with USAF.
*In the second batch, an AC & GC were given detailed briefing on F-16 E/F Block 60.
*The US has given clearance for PAF to send 70+ pilots on 3-5 years deputation to UAE AF to help them fly their F-16. This group of pilots will be under the command of an AC of PAF.
*The JF-17 and Grifo-M upgraded Mirages will carry H-2 and H-4 BVRAAM. The H-2 missile has range of 32 miles and H-4 missile has a range of 65 miles. The H-4 has a lot of help from South Africa and PAF will also integrate H-2 into F-7PG.
*PAF will most likely buy both Erieye and E-2C AEW &C.
yeah right, Greece wants to relook a deal that may be worth 6.5 Billion $ for 60 Typhoons with 30 more on option and Pakistan wants to purchase such aircraft ? shortlisting aircraft and having a realistic chance of buying them are different things.

F-14s of the VF-213 unit. on 29.06.1991 aircraft 159832 was damaged after mid-air collision with 161597 over South Chinese Sea.
So, the twin seat Mirage-2000TH KT208, KT209, KT210, KT211, KT212 and single seat Mirage-2000H KF144 have already started their ferry flights and
KT213, KF143, KF145 and KF 146 will be ferried out later. Thanks Steve. 🙂
Didn’t you read the first link? Am I deceitful or are you dyslexic? Hmmm….
BTW, since we are talking about gullibility on the other thread, if you believe that the IAEA folks are there just to “test”, I have this bridge over Thames that I’d like to sell you :diablo: :dev2:
😀 good one there ! 😀

China watched record-breaking rescue by indigenous HAL made IAF Cheetah chopper
Natarajan Subramanium, Defense Correspondent, Indiadaily

Indian Air Force has created marvel from time to time but this one is something that is going to enter the Guines Book of record. Chinese military research unit commented today that the rescue shows the strength and techniques Indian Airforce has achieved with aircrafts manufactured by Hindustan Aeronotics Limited.
In what is likely to be recognised as a new world record, an IAF Cheetah helicopter landed at an altitude of 23,240 feet on the Kamet glacier in the Garhwal Himalayas to rescue three critically injured climbers earlier this month. Disclosing this on Monday, IAF’s D-G, flight safety, Air Marshal A K Singh said what was even more remarkable was that Wing Commander S K Sharma and his co-pilot Flt Lt A B Dhanake managed to successfully take off from the glacier with an increased pay-load of 70 kg. Sharma and Dhanake flew the rescue missions on May 11, 12 and 13 in severe turbulent conditions and in the face of jet speed winds. “Landing a helicopter, above its service ceiling of 23,000 feet, at an unprepared site on a snow-covered mountain slope, at wind speeds of 35-40 knots, was definitely not a bed of roses,” recalled Sharma. Sharma, commander of the Bareilly-based 111 Helicopter Unit, said they managed the remarkable feat with sheer perseverance. “The atmosphere was rare, the air thin… the controls were very sluggish and the engine was at maximum power,” said Sharma. Only one person – part of an IAF expedition to the Kamet peak – could be rescued at a time. “The biggest achievement was that we were able to save three lives of our comrades… aim for the win and records will automatically come,” said Sharma. Type: Light utility helicopter.
Accommodation: Two seater, side-by-side. A stretcher for CASEVAC (Casualty Evacuation) can be slung underneath.
Engine: One 870 shp Turbomeca Artouste IIIB.
Speed: 192 km/h (115 mph; 100 kts.)
Service Ceiling: 6400 meters (20,992 ft.)
*Indian Cheetahs have deployed to 7500 meters (24,600 ft.)
Range: 260 nautical miles (500 km; 300 miles)
Comments: The HAL Cheetah helicopter units are used for observation, liaison and SAR duties. Army (and IAF) Cheetahs regularly support Indian Army troops at altitudes in excess of 23,000+ feet. The first Turbomeca TM 333-2B2-powered Cheetah was successfully test flown in January 2003, with a significant number of these helicopters likely to be fitted with this more powerful engine in order to modernise the Army Aviation Corps. Pushpinder Singh Chopra, in a June 2001 AW&ST issue, said a Light Observation Helicopter (LOH) program will replace the Cheetahs that HAL has built for the army and air force. At 200 kg (440 lbs), the LOH is to have three times the Cheetah’s payload at 18,000 feet above sea level at 20C, the type of operating conditions needed in north-east Kashmir where the Cheetah conducts border patrols. The LOH is to be powered by a single TM 333-2B2 engine.
Its not a question of “fake morals” every country does whats in its own interests, but interesting to see your opinion about teh very country you reside in…..
That is the power of democracy. I can call their morals fake, which they totally are, and not be worried, unlike in some dictatorships that we need’nt talk of.
it is members of your community who not only take their pound of flesh from this country’s economy but also work actively to bomb and terrorise it. talk about a patronising attitude !
far better value, but are they even trustworthy ? they’ll dump the minute they see that u’re no more of use to them, and thats when their fake morals will all of a sudden come to the fore.
and Pakistan has been very skillful in paying money upfront for the F-16s and then not even getting equipment it paid for. and now again they wanna buy the same stuff from the same Americans, and they’re smart about it ?

and this link just goes to show the level of confusion and guesswork going on at PakDef. now dont come up with stuff that these guys imagine and try to pass it off as facts. :diablo:
PAF adds new bombs to its arsenal
By Arshad Sharif
ISLAMABAD, Dec 17: Pakistan Air Force has integrated the H-4 out-of-sight target bombs in its arsenal of fighter aircraft, official sources said. The incorporation of H-4 bombs have added to the capability of the PAF to hit out-of-sight targets from a distance of up to 120 kilometres to evade enemy radars during air strikes. A lighter version of the bomb, H-2 model, can hit the out-of-sight targets from a range of up to 60 kilometres.
“It is a step towards adding the Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missiles to our arsenal for defensive purposes and to address the strategic imbalance in the region,” sources said.
The indigenously produced H-4 bombs is an achievement of the National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM), which works in close collaboration with Pakistan Missile Organizationand the Air Weapons Complex.
“Three successful tests of H-4, with the latest conducted this year, produced satisfactory results leading to addition of arsenal in the fighter jets,” the sources said.
The H-4 bombs have been made through indigenous efforts by modifying the technological design of South African T-Darter BVR missiles. Till the induction of JF-17 Thunder in 2006, with a provision for BVRs, the H-2 and H-4 bombs could be carried by Mirage fighter jets. The H-4 infrared device is said to be comparable to that of the AA11, AA12 and Python 4 in the Indian arsenal. 😀
Moreover, the sources said, fighter aircraft in PAF’s arsenal have the “provision” to be fitted with precision-guided munitions and BVR missiles. When asked about advantages of BVR in Indian arsenal, PAF spokesperson Air Commodore Sarfaraz said: “We are aggressively trying to utilize whatever equipment we have to its optimum operational limits through professional training and by pursuing high standards of maintenance.”
Mr Sarfaraz said: “We are aware of our technological needs and are vigorously trying to meet those requirements either through procurements or indigenous developments.” 😀
Now, how on earth does the T-Darter get the range of 120 km ? and how on earth does one modify an air-to-air missile with its light warhead to make it a PGM ? .

Check out this thread on that forum. each guy claims something else about the H-2 and H-4, someone claiming its AtoA and someone else that its AtoG. and look at the ranges claimed ! 😀
just goes to show why noone will believe you when you just say something. bring the proof to back it up.
where’s all the bullcrap about the 70+ pilots going to UAE to fly their F-16s ? and the other stuff that was being claimed ?
The article you brought up does’nt show anything new that we have’nt already heard of, but at least the claim was’nt that some guy at PakDef is to be taken as a credible source of info.
obviously, they’re getting their pound of flesh. and dont be blind to the free stuff that you keep getting from the US. it too comes with a stick.
