I take liberty to jump the line
A heli for the chance.
Since I like to stick to the rules, I will not post the other secret Blackburn project.
They had plans to fly a fuselage without wings. 😮
OH is it?
I am sorry to admit it, but Avion Ancien seems perfectly right.
And then to know that only between 1945 and today more than 5,000 types of aircraft were designed/built. Have no idea for the period 1903-1945.
Seems logical there is no choice any more
then it should still be the Hispano Ha-43?
control is yours, John
Oops!
It has a retractable gear. Sorry
Stay positive!
Suggest to start with an easy one, a low wing trainer with a round engine and fixed legs.

UAE High wing mystery.
Laurence: If I remember well picture was taken at airport where GAMCO is/was located (GAMCO-Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company). This company was for a period involved in the Farnborough F-1 Kestrel propjet.
Photo and some correspondence is on http://www.forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=85471&page=24
fanavion: I think the link with Myasischev/Alfa-M could indeed exist. Designer could have been Mr. Youri Yakovlev and engine is a Walter/LOM M601. Since photo was taken in UAE, donot believe it was sent by ship/road just for assembly. This could make test flights at Zhukovsky logical and thus it may have arrived by air. Wonder what happened to the registration.
Planes need not be old to be a mystery!
I apologize for the UAE “wot plane” post.
It was a sneaky way of trying to find out what aircraft it is! (because I don`t know myself) :diablo:
All I traced that it may have involvement of Mr. Youri Yakovlev (Aeroprakt Kiev).
I wrote to the company in UAE (the picture was taken on their apron), but got no reply.
PS: The photo is from this site (forum.keypublishing.co.uk)
Open House please
Hi Laurence,
Yes indeed the United Arab Emirates.
Sorry, this one is a real teaser (will explain later, if necessary)
My guess is that it will last a while and I suggest to set a 2 day time limit.
Photo taken at U.A.E. 2008/2009 with caption “unidentified homebuilt”.
Hi Chris!
I know this one by the name Guppie (Guppy?). The Rohr MR-1 of 1948
